Synopsis 시놉시스

자살하러 여관방에 간 남자가 그 곳에서 1년 전에 자살했던 영혼을 만난다. 영혼은 남자의 몸을 통해 환생하기 위해 남자가 육체를 기증하도록 유혹한다.  

A man goes to a motel to commit suicide. He meets a spirit who committed suicide 1 year ago in this exact room. The spirit allures the man to donate his body to be reincarnated.

Directors Note 연출의도

죽고 싶은 산 사람과 살고 싶은 죽은 사람의 대치를 통해 살아야 하는 의지가 실은 더 강하다는 느낌을 표현하고 싶었다. 죽음을 선택함에 있어서는 머뭇거릴 수 있지만 살아야 함에 대해서는 그렇지 못하고 간절함이 더욱 강조된다. 결국 귀결점은 ‘사는 것’이다. 이 간단한 명제를 정립함으로써 혹여나 떠올리게 될 자의적 죽음에 대한 생각을 버리고 싶었다.  

그리고 이 모든 것보다 우선적으로 내가 바랐던 것은 그저 재미있는 영화를 만드는 것이었다.  

Through the comparison of the alive who wants to die and the dead who wants to live again I wanted to express how the will to live is stronger. You can hesitate when choosing death. However, when you want to live you cannot, and the eagerness is emphasized more and more. The conclusion is 'to live'. Through this simple proposition I wanted to give away the self conscious thought of death.  

And first of all, just I wanted make a fun movie.
