Dami, the talks are centered on bolstering key cooperation, as the Italian leader was welcomed by the Korean president at the Blue House this morning. They are looking to strengthen cooperation on trade, investment, AI, and culture. Also among the topics is the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano-Cortina, set for next month.

The summit will be followed by the signing of MOUs, a joint press briefing, and a lunch. Meloni, officially known as Italian President of the Council of Ministers, is on a three-day official visit to South Korea as part of her trip to Asia, which included her stop in Japan. She is the first Italian leader in 19 years to visit Korea for a bilateral summit, and the first foreign leader hosted at the presidential office since it returned to the Blue House. Lee and Meloni last met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York last September. Back to you, Dami.
