Temperatures have inched up a bit compared to yesterday, loosening the fierce cold spells. Still, cold wave advisories remain in place for northern parts of Gyeonggi-do, and Gangwon-do provoinces and the northeastern parts of mountainous areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. This cold wave is set to hang around throughout this week. Late tonight into tomorrow morning, rain or snow is forecast mainly in the west coast areas and Jeju Island.

About 1 to 5 centimeters of snow is expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, 1 to 3 centimeters in the Jeolla-do provinces, and around 1 centimeter in western parts of Chungcheongnam-do Province. Tomorrow morning will start off at minus 7 degrees Celsius in Seoul, minus 4 degrees in Daegu and Gyeongju. Highs will rise to only minus 2 degrees in Seoul, minus 1 degree in Chuncheon.
