Seoul officially saw its first cherry blossoms bloom yesterday — about 10 days earlier than average, thanks to the recent stretch of mild weather. Now, rain is on the way nationwide through today and tomorrow. Rain will begin in the Jeolla-do Provinces and Jeju this morning and reach Seoul and the central regions by tonight.

Rain will be heavier in Jeju with 30 to 80 millimeters, and the capital region will see 5 to 10 millimeters. Until that rain arrives, central regions will be under a dry weather advisory with more dusty air for the west of central regions. And even with the rain, temperatures remain mild. Seoul and Daegu will get up to 20 degrees Celsius, and Gwangju will top out at 19 degrees.
