Understand the emotions

After reading "How you can negotiate to succeed in work and life" written by Stuart Diamond.

I could summarize my understandings as follows

- "understand the emotions"


We always live in lots of negotiations.


Insisting our firm convictions without understanding others' emotions,

we would often cause bad feelings rather than an agreement.


First understanding not only the emotions of others but also mine, then we would gain the counterparts' understandings and reach the objective of the negotiation more easily and willingly.
