He showed me a large piece of paper.
“I’ve started drawing her portrait.
I’m going to enlarge it and give it to her when she gets back to Seoul.”
“Wow, you are really good!
That’s already looking so realistic,” I said.
I was surprised by how good the drawing was.
When I saw Luca the next day, he had huge dark circles under his eyes.
“Luca, you need to sleep.
And eat.
And get out of the house some time.
Go out and do some sightseeing.
Or at least go for a walk,” I said.
“I don’t know where to go,” he said.
“And I don’t really feel like going anywhere or doing anything.”
“Well, how about I give you a challenge?
See if you can do it!”
I continued: “Your first challenge tomorrow is to go to Deoksugung palace.
At some point during the day, there will be a changing of the guard ceremony.
You must find the Keeper of the Key and take a picture with him,” I told him.
I was worried that the challenge might be too hard.
Luca couldn’t speak any Korean at all.
How would he know who the Keeper of the Key was?
But in the evening, he showed me a picture of himself with the Keeper.
I was impressed.
That was the beginning of many challenges.
The second challenge was to go to the Jegi-dong market and take a picture of a live honeybee.
I knew they sold honey and live bees at the Korean traditional medicine market.
On the third day, I told him he must find the highest mountain in Seoul, climb to the
top, share a cup of rice wine with someone else there and take a picture with them.
The following day, his challenge was to go to Changdeokgung palace and find the vehicle
in which princesses used to travel.
The next challenge was to go to Yonsei and Ewha campuses, walk around, and take a picture
with an Ewha University student in front of blooming petals.
That one was tricky, because it was still January and nothing was blooming.
But Luca managed that as well.
During the following weeks, Luca went to many different parts of Seoul to do his challenges.
The dark circles under his eyes disappeared.
He started smiling again.
He told me he loved Seoul.
In the end, Luca and Minji never got back together.
But Luca really enjoyed his life in Korea.
He ended up finding a job and stayed for 4 years before moving back to Denmark.
He still comes back every year on holiday.

잘 모르겠지만 모르는 부분은 있다..
그래도 정리!!
리스닝 보다는 모르는 부분, 단어 찾기 연습인듯..?
