우리의 인생은 모두가 한편의 소설이다.
Love is the only thing that we can carry with us when we go, and it makes the end
so easy. by Louisa May Alcott
Sarah's Scribbing : I know 'stay' is a charming word in a dear friend's vocabulary. Each time I have a heart to heart talk with my buddies in an agreeable place, I unexpectedly feel that I have not lived in vain. That's why the world where we are now is still valuable to ever live. What's better, it's especially late special night, isn't it?
Yes, coming straight back home, now I have some free time to find myself as I really am. I do a bit of writing as I have lived and loved so far, which is my own great joy of life and inspires myself at times. I'm perfectly happy with the way things are, at least, in my way.
I have recently picked a lovely novel again, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
Especially, since my teens I've adored a film adaptation in 1994 starring Winona Rydor and Susan Sarandon. The second daughter Jo was a would-be writer in it. So she used to scibble something like this :
Late at night my mind would come alivewith voices and stories and friends as dear to me as any in the real world. I gave myself up to it, longing for transformation."
And I've, too, cherished the wise advice from Mom, Mrs. March :
I only care what you think of yourself. If you feel your value lies in being merely decorative, I fear that someday you might find yourself believing that's all you really are. Time erodes all such beauty. But what it cannot diminish is the wonderful workings of your mind -
your humor, your kindness, and
your moral courage. These are things I so
cherish in you. I so wish I can give
my girls more just world. Finally
you make it better place.
Each sister had different characters. Though growing up in poverty, they were in a rich artistic, romantic and secure environment with whole person education.
So, day by day they were all getting wiser and more beautiful women. They could make their own choices, which led them to go separate ways.
I think it's more beautiful to begin the work of becoming oneself than any other things. That's been my concepts of the beauty and the happiness.
Along the way, Amy flied to Europe to show her talent for painting with the support of her aunt, for she had full of serious artistic ambitions. I adore the people who can listen to his or her own voice, anyway. And I hope you and I'll do so as long as we live.
Yes! As the author once said, far away there in the sunshine are our highest aspirations, We may not reach them but we can look up and see their beauty, So we had better believe in them and try to follow them.
By the way, comparing to Amy, Jo herself kind of felt sense of shame.
And then her Mom said to Jo :
you have so many extraordinary gifts; how can you expect to lead an ordinary life? You're ready to go out and - and find a good use for your talent. Tho' I don't know what I shall do without my Jo. Go, and embrace your liberty. And see what wonderful things come of it
It did encouage tomboyish Jo to go to New York to be a writer. And there she be friended a German professor, Friedrich who was gentle and intellectual man. He had a good influence on her ambitions from time to time.
They both adored the great writer Goethe and had that kind of literary taste. So, they became the kindred soul to each other very soon. Fredrich once told Jo to write from life, from the depths of her own soul. It was quite impressive. Yes, it's very critical to have the emotional authenticity.
Staying away from each other for a while, Jo missed talking to him. Meanwhile, dear little Beth died. It made Jo experienced the deep sorrow of life.
So she was able to write about which the things she really knew with her own voice like the advice from the professor. one day, Friedrich visited her with her published book. At the very last scene on a wet rainy afternoon Jo and Friedrich met again. They realized they had fallen in love with each other checking their own mind. They gathered themselves all together under the lovely name of the family. So, lastly I'll quote from the author : I do think families are the most beautiful things in all the world. by sincerely, sarah ♡♡
