Harvested Robotics is a Hyderabad-based agri-tech startup founded in 2023 by Sai Phani Rahul Arepaka and George Mathew.

The company specializes in AI-powered, laser-based weeding robots designed to provide farmers with a sustainable, chemical-free alternative to traditional weed control methods.  

What They Do

Harvested Robotics has developed a tractor-mounted laser weeder that utilizes advanced computer vision and deep learning algorithms to detect and eliminate weeds with high precision.

The system boasts a 90% weed detection rate and 5mm tracking accuracy, allowing for effective weed removal without harming crops.

This technology aims to reduce labor dependency and eliminate the need for herbicides, promoting organic farming practices and improving crop yields .  

Funding and Growth

In March 2025, Harvested Robotics secured approximately $580,000 (INR 5 crore) in a seed funding round led by Arali Ventures, with participation from notable investors such as Anand Mahindra and Chakradhar Gade.

This funding is intended to support product development, team expansion, and pilot programs. Prior to this, the company received a $12,000 grant from the Kerala Startup Mission.

As of the latest reports, Harvested Robotics is valued at around $3.22 million .  

A Unique Workplace Culture

In a move that garnered widespread attention, Harvested Robotics appointed a golden retriever named Denver as its Chief Happiness Officer (CHO). This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a positive and innovative workplace culture .
