The Conquer HPV & Cancer Conclave 2025 is a nationwide public health initiative launched by the Serum Institute of India (SII) to raise awareness about Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its link to various cancers, particularly cervical cancer.
The campaign aims to promote early intervention, vaccination, and community education across India.  
Campaign Overview
• Launch Date: May 20, 2025
• Initiating City: Guwahati
•Organized By: Serum Institute of India (SII)
• Objective: To educate the public about HPV-related cancers and promote preventive measures, including vaccination. 
Key Highlights
• HPV and Cancer: HPV is a significant cause of cervical cancer, which accounts for over 123,000 new cases and more than 77,000 deaths annually in India. HPV is also linked to other cancers, including anal, penile, vulvar, vaginal, and oropharyngeal cancers.
• Cervavac Vaccine: SII has developed Cervavac, India’s first indigenously produced, gender-neutral quadrivalent HPV vaccine, aimed at preventing HPV-related cancers in both males and females.
• Expert Panels: The conclave features discussions led by medical professionals, including pediatricians, gynecologists, and oncologists, focusing on the importance of early vaccination and public education. 
Upcoming Events
Following the initial launch in Guwahati, the campaign is set to expand to other cities, including Kolkata, where similar events will be organized to further the mission of HPV and cancer awareness.
