The World Jewish Congress (WJC) is an international organization that represents Jewish communities and organizations in 100 countries across six continents. Established in 1936 in Geneva.
Its mission is to advocate on behalf of the Jewish people worldwide, promote unity, and ensure the continuity of Jewish religious, cultural, and social heritage.
The WJC is politically non-partisan and operates under the guiding principle of “Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh beZeh” (All Jews are responsible for one another) .

• Combating Antisemitism: The WJC actively fights against antisemitism and Holocaust denial, emphasizing the need for international coalitions to address these issues .

Leadership
Since 2007, Ronald S. Lauder has served as the President of the World Jewish Congress. He is an international philanthropist, investor, art collector, and former public servant, demonstrating a deep commitment to Jewish causes through various philanthropic endeavors .

• Advocacy at the UN: The WJC has been active in addressing issues at the United Nations, including urging the Human Rights Council to stand against antisemitism . 
• Global Events: The organization recently concluded its 17th Plenary Assembly in May 2025, where it announced new executive committee members and discussed strategies to combat rising antisemitism . 
• Public Statements: The WJC has publicly applauded actions such as the U.S. veto of a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, highlighting its stance on international policies affecting Jewish communities .
