Chilbyul (Seven Star)’s Dream
One hot, sunny day, a butterfly laid eggs. After a few days, the eggs, which at first glistened in the sunlight, began to change color. Gradually, the transparent color deepened from off-white to yellow, and then the eggs began to stir. Some of them woke up first, some of them later... There were ten in total.
They all came out of the egg one after another. The first thing they did was gnaw on the egg. When Chilbyeol opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was his sister gnawing on an egg.
“Why are you eating?”
But without looking back, she said.
“Eat this and sleep, and you'll get bigger.”
Chilbyeol(Seven Star) watched in awe as her sister diligently ate the shells.
“Honey, don't just look at me, you should eat it too. If you leave the shells out, other scary things might come.”
Chilbyeol(Seven Star) was angered by her sister's warning and started gnawing on the egg just like her.
“Who are the scary ones?”
“I don't know. My sisters and brothers told me when I woke up first.”
“Do we have sisters and brothers?”
“Yes, but they are eating different things from different leaves.”
Chilbyeol(Seven Star) was curious that she could eat something other than the egg shells she was supposed to eat.
“What other things?”
“You'll see. I'm not there yet. My brother, who came when I woke up, told me.”
“Do you think he'll come again?”
“Ahhh~ I'm tired from eating the eggshells. I'm going to get some sleep.”
When Chilbyeol(Seven Star) was about to ask another question about the eggshells, her sister had just fallen asleep.
“The eggshells are hard. What is it made of that makes them so strong?”
As she wondered to herself, someone spoke up.
“Hey, it's a protein blob.”
“What's that?”
“It makes you grow. Your sister sleeping next to you will be bigger when she wakes up.”
I looked in the direction of the voice and saw a long, green, sleek, plump body. When he looked up, he saw a friendly face looking back at him.
“Wow, it's so big!”
Chilbyeol(Seven Star) said in admiration.
“I'm the fourth born, and you're the seventh, and you're going to keep getting bigger.”
“Are you the brother who told her to eat the egg shell the other day?”
“Yes.”
“How did you know that?”
“She told me, and I was hungry at the time, so I ate it without realizing it.”
“Ah... I see.”
“I have to grow three more times.”
Chilbyul(Seven Star) was a little surprised to hear her big brother, who was big enough in her opinion, say that he needed to grow even more.
“Do you have a sister or brother who is bigger than you?”
“I have a sister and a brother who are faster than me, and they could molt one more time. But it's dangerous out here, and they could die before they grow up.”
“Die?”
“Yes.”
“What's dying?”
“Well... you won't be hungry anymore, and you won't be able to talk.”

Chilbyeol(Seven Star) didn't know what death was, but something about it scared him. The thought of not wanting to eat the shell when it was so flavorful, and the thought of having so many questions and not being able to ask them or get answers, suddenly gave him the chills. At that moment, I heard a scream from somewhere.
“Help!”
Someone shouted urgently from not too far away. I heard another shout in response.
“It's a vampire! Hide!”
Hearing those words, Chilbyeol(Seven Star) and her brother instinctively hid behind a leaf. Of course, as a newborn, Chilbyeol(Seven Star) was much slower to move.
“Wait for me.”
“Be diligent.”
“I can't move fast enough.”
Chilbyeol(Seven Star) was frustrated. Her brother, who was slower, pushed her from behind with his head. They barely managed to escape the spot.
“If it gets dangerous like this in the future, hide behind the leaves.”
“I will. Thanks, big brother. What would I have done without you?”
“It's okay, I'm sure the map bee prefers a big caterpillar like me.”
“I see. Why do you think the map beetle would want to kill us?”
“Well... I don't know, we just eat leaves.”
At that moment, Chilbyul(Seven Star) became curious.
“You live on these leaves?”
“Yes. That's why mom brought us here to live.”
