Baby Market
Gre, the surroundings are dark before dawn. Since I can’t see anything well, I close my eyes and imagine for a moment. The sky is full of clouds, and I seem to hear voices in the fluttering wind. Does the sun know this dawn that seems to be filled with snow? I stop crying and watch what’s happening. The horizon in the distance is stiff like my father’s mouth that doesn’t say anything, and in the calm sky, the wind clears and a flock of clouds appears in the distance. Then, the moon that had been shining all night becomes thin and slowly begins to disappear into the pale sky.
At dawn, when the angels of the streets in their lime-colored clothes pass by, the streets become as clean as new as if they had promised. Why do those clothes always look so new? They wear solid armor and sweep silently without saying a word. The gray concrete is covered with dry leaves, and the black asphalt is covered with white snow. The white snow is cleared like tree branches to make a path, and the leaves rustle and laugh.
The fear of the unseen is replaced by excitement for those who know, but I think we were born with a duty to tell these stories. The only moment we can look at the sun in front of our eyes is now. Because the red sun rises brightly the more it rises. When we close our eyes and look at the sun, it always gives us answers. A small wish is born in the sky that is like a wide, wide ocean, and then we have to let out a mall sigh at the things we have to do today and go to work.
Some day, the season when cherry blossom petals flutter in the wind will come, but it the winter when everything is frozen solid, let’s organize our frozen thoughts, listen to the cries of magpies that break the silence, and write letters to those we cannot see, one or two letters. Nature is so generous, and we always live just receiving, but when we think about the things we can give to others, we think that we are very similar to nature. I hope that these imaginations do not bring melancholy to those who have bright smiles. Thank you for coming to see me in the morning.
