Welfare Programs: Supports for Vulnerable Citizens
In South Korea, there are many families who are socially vulnerable. For them, welfare programs are made. It supports people by lots of ways who need desperate help. These days, the variation of rich people and poor people is increased. To help poor people, welfare programs are designated. Welfare programs support the low –income families and render various services and resources to improve the quality of life for them. Welfare programs help reducing poverty by direct support and indirect support to ensure the welfare of the vulnerable people can live comfortably.
In the first place, welfare programs reduce poverty by indirect support so that poor people can live comfortably. Giving equal opportunity is the most necessary work that welfare programs do by providing indirect support. They also contribute to making rich and poor people as a healthy member as one community. Unfair society is full of conflict between rich people and poor people. For example, in South Korea, the government runs a disability pension to help vulnerable people. Also, the most vital opportunity that every people get is education. However, if poor people do not get it, it is right for welfare programs to give opportunity to learn because education is equal. If this continues, a healthy society with no conflicts of rich and poor people; so they can be as a member of a big society.
Therefore, welfare programs help reducing poverty by direct support so that poor people can live comfortably. Welfare programs sponsor one vulnerable family through indirect acts. They also directly help people survive and live with dignity by giving them essential support like food, housing, or medical care. For example, in South Korea, nursing assistance for seniors who are weak and need and also poor. By that, elderlies can live prolonged healthy lives than the past. However, some people argue that it is right to help all people whoever they are rich or not. But, it is right to give poor people so that the variation of rich and poor decreases. If this continues, poor people can live more better.
In conclusion, welfare programs help reducing poverty by direct and indirect support so that poor people can live comfortably. In indirect support, they give equal opportunity and direct support, it helps people survive and live with dignity by giving basic needs. Welfare programs help others who have low Hierarchies and weak and make them happy by sponsoring them and giving an opportunity to get educated if they do not have chance.
It also decreases the variation between rich and poor.
