영어 글쓰기의 핵심 3가지
영어 쓰기는 늘 나에게 부담이었다.
단어는 알고, 문법도 외웠지만 막상 한 문장을 쓰려 하면 어디서부터 시작해야 할지 막막했다.
문장을 어떻게 이어가야 할지, 내 생각을 어떻게 정리해야 할지 몰라서 쓰다가 멈춘 적이 많았다.
하지만 글쓰기도 말하기처럼 연습이 필요하다는 걸 알게 된 이후로, 조금씩 접근법을 바꾸기 시작했다.
특히 글을 쓸 때 ‘왜 쓰는지(목적)’, ‘무엇을 말하고 싶은지(메인 아이디어)’, ‘내 주장이 무엇인지(주제문)’ 를 먼저 정리하고 나면 훨씬 수월하게 글의 틀이 잡혔다.
나에게 누구도 알려주지 않았던, 특히 서론 쓰기 부분을

Purpose (글쓴이의 목적)
“Why did I write this?” / “이 글을 쓰는 이유는?”
정의: 글쓴이가 글을 통해 무엇을 하려고 하는지를 나타냄. 즉, 독자에게 정보를 주렸는가? 설득하려는가? 이야기하려는가? 의견을 표현하려는가?
