The United States government proposed new rules designed to improve transplant operations. It has set the goal to ease a serious shortage of kidneys and other organs. It is so severe that more than 113,000 Americans are waiting for transplant and about 20 die each day.

Firstly, the U.S. government would crackdown on organ procurement organizations, or OPOs, which have performed loosely. According to a 2017 study by University of Pennsylvania researchers, an improved transplant system could increase the number of donated organs by as many as 28,000 more than before.

Secondly, the Trump administration aims to increase the numbers of living donors by reimbursement for their lost wages and other costs during hospital stay and recovery. Currently, the transplant recipient’s insurance company pays the donor’s medical costs only. But donors should stay out of work for weeks, paid rarely.

Most transplant organs come from deceased donors. But some people lucky enough to receive an organ from a living donor often cut their wait time, who can give a chance to transplant on appropriate time.

I do not believe that our deceased bodies will be resurrected as they were, which were believed by some christians in the past. So, I will allow the organs of a loved one to be transplanted. As I know, organs from a deceased could give a new life to at least 7 people, by donations of eyeballs, facial skin, nose, heart, lever, kidney, hand and so on.
