We are witnessing the dawn of “Cheap Intelligence” — a force that works three shifts without a break, costing almost nothing. What was once praised as high intellectual ability has now become as common as tap water. Paradoxically, this abundance has created a new kind of thirst. In the ruins of cheap intelligence, the rarest luxury is no longer calculation, but the “trace of human responsibility.”
1. Light Civilization: Experience as the New Social Class
We have entered the era of “Light Civilization,” as noted by leading foresight specialists. Individuals armed with AI now possess capabilities rivaling giant organizations, leading corporations to slash decision-making layers and shed their bulk. In this agile world, the old model of “hiring and training” is dead. Organizations no longer have the patience to educate juniors; they only call upon “ready-to-use” veterans — those who possess wisdom distilled from actual life experiences.
A new inequality is emerging. Experience has become the new capital. In an era where AI handles every routine process, the human role is not to be a cog in the machine but to be the “Final Manager” — the one who defines “meaning” on top of mechanical efficiency and takes full responsibility for the results. For those unprepared, this light civilization offers not freedom, but alienation.
2. Digestion vs. Accumulation: The Gap in Being
The critical difference between AI and humans lies in how they process information. AI piles up data (Accumulation), but humans melt information with the “digestive fluids” of their lives to make it their own (Digestion).
Fuel vs. Nutrition: For AI, data is merely “fuel” to improve performance. For humans, knowledge is “nutrition” that transforms the self and leads to maturity.
Choice with Will: At the end of an AI’s process lies a probabilistic “recommendation.” At the end of a human’s process lies a “Choice” (Will) condensed from life’s struggles. In a society driven by reputation and “calling,” the only condition for being invited back is whether you radiate the trust of a human others want to work with. Kindness is no longer just a moral virtue; it is a strategic survival skill for the modern professional.
Sovereignty Beyond the Server Room
Sovereignty may have moved from central banks to server rooms, but the “qualification of the owner” who commands those servers ultimately comes from humanity. Infrastructure is only the foundation of sovereignty; human will is what determines the value built upon it.
In a world of high unemployment, academic degrees are merely receipts for “General Intelligence,” which AI has already commodified. Today, the world is moved by those who emit the “scent of lived experience.” Are you a “Conductor” who knows where to dig with the AI excavator, or are you a “Consumer” addicted to the seductive content AI pours out?
In an age where intelligence is free, your only true asset is your own Heavy Narrative — something an algorithm can never replicate.
