Christmas market with Anne. Last year we went to the Kulturbrauerei where I almost lost the office key: this time at the RAW-Gelände with a similar historic theme. She loves them so much that it’s a legitimate factor of her modest living cost during the season. We were there early but very quickly people - mostly tourists - filled up the little Middle Ages-themed hamlet. Suddenly there was a lot of snow and our toes started to feel numb & fingertips tingling but the cold and the snow did quite add to the whole atmosphere. Due to small fires everywhere soon we were smelling like a pair of flamed salmon. We had some fried cauliflower, mushrooms cooked in a lot of garlic oil and a piece of roasted meat in bread which was called ‘Feuer Fleisch.’ Then cheeseballs, Mutzen and a hot chocolate with Amaretto... It’s all about food really. Festivity is nothing else but culinary.
