15. 슬프다, 그 날이여! 주께서 심판하실 날이 다가왔다. 전능하신 분께서 보내신 바로 그 파멸의 날이 다가왔다.
Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD [is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
16. 곡식이라고는 구경조차 할 수 없다. 우리 하나님의 성전에는 기쁨도 즐거움도 없다.
Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, [yea], joy and gladness from the house of our God?
17. 씨앗이 흙덩이 속에서 모두 말라 죽고, 광마다 텅텅 비고, 가물어, 거두어들일 곡식이 없어서, 창고는 폐허가 된다.
The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.
18. 풀밭이 없어, 가축들이 울부짖고, 소 떼가 정신없이 헤매며, 양 떼도 괴로워한다.
How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
19. 주님, 제가 주께 부르짖습니다. 불볕에 광야의 풀이 모두 타 죽고, 들의 나무가 이글거리는 불꽃에 모두 타 버렸습니다.
O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.
20. 시내에도 물이 마르고 광야의 초원이 다 말라서, 들짐승도 주께 부르짖습니다.
The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
