51. 이에 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래까지 찢어져 둘이 되고 땅이 진동하며 바위가 터지고
51. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
52. 무덤들이 열리며 자던 성도의 몸이 많이 일어나되
52. and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
54. 백부장과 및 함께 예수를 지키던 자들이 지진과 그 되는 일들을 보고 심히 두려워하여 가로되 이는 진실로 하나님의 아들이었도다 하더라
54. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”
At the same time of Jesus crucifixion, the dead holy people were resurrected, which means I would be resurrected, in the condition that I am holy.
Who could be called as holy people, even though believers could be called as holy people and holy nations in a group? Moreover, God is holy, so I should be holy, according to His command.
Then, how could I be holy? I mean, should I do something good and show faith to Him and others, or inside of my heart, there shouldn't be any sins. Right, I think so, but it is not enough.
Without the faith toward Jesus who was the Son of God, the Messiah and the Savior of my sins, and who is the way, truth, and the life, there is no possibility of my sins being forgiven, saved, and also resurrected like Jesus' resurrection at the very time of His coming.
The biggest blessing of mine is this faith and knowledge, so I can exclaim that surely Jesus was the Son of God.
