9. 오직 여호와를 거역하지 말라 또 그 땅 백성을 두려워하지 말라 그들은 우리 밥이라 그들의 보호자는 그들에게서 떠났고 여호와는 우리와 함께 하시느니라 그들을 두려워 말라 하나
9. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”
Rebellion means opposing against a political system and showing some forces to the leaders of it. I terms of that, the Israelites were rebeling against not only the leaders, Moses and Arons, but also against the Lord who was always with them.
They had been rebeling in Egypt and in the wilderness and also at the very moment of getting the promised land, although they had seen God's being with them, by feeding and caring for them with manna and the pillars of clouds and fire.
Then, what is the rebeling against the Lord?
I think that when we have no gratitude and mistrust, we tend to show those kinds of behaviors toward people and God as well. Accordingly, we are willing to lose faith that He is with us.
Father, thanks for everything that has been given to me and i appreciate Your leading my life well until now. I trust You and i'm looking forward to seeing what would happen to me and what would be given to me for Your sake and Your glory, which is going to be my hope and my future. Amen.
