Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, has acquired Moltbook, a social media platform for AI agents (bots) for an undisclosed sum.
Within days of the Moltbook launch, more than 10,000 bots were chatting on the site, much like people interact with each other. People have observed these conversations with both fascination and dread.
