Abstract painting as a treacherous conceptual art refers to abstract painting as a realistic structure in art. 개념 추상화로서 <a morning glory outside the window 2021-e>는 나팔꽃의 실재를 의미하는 왜상(anamorphosis)적 이미지로 생성된 이미지를 수작업으로써 배면이 비춰지는 교직된 천의 형태에 그리진 라캉의 오브제ɑ다.

그 오브제ɑ 는 가역적 빛으로 생성된 의미 공간에서 보이는 형상의 의미를 그려낸 오브제(나팔꽃 2021-e)는 병아리가 타자의 욕망을 공용이 화석된 긴 시간성에 감추어진 이미지를 가역적 빛의 음영속에 어떤 형상의 의미를 구조화하여서 그 오브제를 실제 형상으로 가역할 수 있는 추상 공간을 의미화하고 전시 포스터 형상의 실제 변화된 움직임에 의해 가려지는 추상의 의미 즉 오브제ɑ를 말한다.
이것은 회화에서 나팔꽃이라는 일관된 의미로 보이게 있는 왜상적 평면성이다. 그 나팔꽃은 거울에 비친 실재(le réel)와 동일하지만 배경의 형상은 동일하지 않다. 이것은 구상적 형태로서 동일한 의미의 구조로 한 비실재의 사실적 형상을 개념적 의미 구조로서 추상이지만 그 형상이 다른 동일한 의미로서의 추상화는 유사한 색깔과 크기가 다른 사상적 비형상의 존재로서 실재하는 비사실적이기 때문이다.
그 존재는 실제 가역할 수 있는 형상으로서 추상 공간을 정의하고 그 형상이 가역적 빛의 음영으로 실제 변화된 움직임에 의해 가려지는 전시 포스터 개념 미술의 추상화 의미를 말한다.

추상화 의미의 현상적 자리를 전시 포스터로 대신한 라캉적 개념미술 추상화는 형상의 자리를 구별할 수 있어서 그 형상을 해석하는 이면(裏面)의 의미를 구상한다. 그 형상은 다른 의미를 말하려고 사상적 구조로 한 그 의미와 유사한 색깔과 크기의 추상하지만 상상계에서 개념 미술의 추상적 의미는 실재와의 동일시하여서 외형적으로 오브제의 이미지와 추상적 의미를 동일한 주체로써 오브제의 이미지와 동일시되면서 내적으로 주체는 변형된 추상적 의미를 형성한다. 이것은 형상의 추상적 의미를 가리키며, 그 형상은 실제 가역할 수 있는 추상적 공간을 정의하고 그 형상의 실제 변화된 움직임에 의해서 변화된 형상이 음영으로 가려지는 추상된 형상의 디자인적 의미를 가리킨다.
그 의미는 타자의 욕망<Omicron Spread Restricts Entry of Foreigners-2>를 모방한 꽃을 상징하는 기호적 언어로 개념적으로 추상된 <나팔꽃>으로 디자인된다.
추상된 <나팔꽃>에 타자의 욕망을 대리하는 형상을 디자인하여서 라캉의 오브제ɑ로서 추상적 오브제로서의 재현한다. 그것은 원근법적 시각체계의 기학적 도식에서는 시각체계가 은폐된 가역적 빛으로 한 음영의 자리를 만들어냄으로서 무의식에서 드러난 타자의 욕망적 관점에서 각각이 다른 순간적인 응시로서의 오브제ɑ가 추상된다.
이렇게 라캉적 개념미술로 추상된 오브제ɑ는 일반성을 벗어나 예술성을 획득하고자 타자의 억압된 무의식에서 드러난 욕망을 통해 표출된 왜상적 이미지를 디자인으로 형성하고 타자의 욕망을 존재로 개념적 조형성의 음영으로 오브제ɑ를 생성하고 의미로서 존재한다.
그 의미적 존재로서 오브제ɑ는 타자의 욕망적 관점에서 왜상적 이미지로 오브제의 이미지를 의미의 구조로 변형함으로써 오브제의 또 다른 존재로서의 오브제ɑ를 드러내어서 타자의 욕망의 자율적 선택으로 한 조형적 가치를 담고 있다.
그리고 회화적으로 닭의 배경에 감추어진 타자의 욕망으로서의 작은 조각은 그 형상의 실제로 바꾸는 기표적 의중 운동을 통해서 가역된 실제 추상적 공간을 보인다. 이것은 타자의 욕망을 추상적 오브제의 존재 의미로 그 오브제를 실제 가역할 수 있는 공간에 추상하여서 자리한다.
추상 공간의 자리를 더 이상 이미지로만 명시하지않고 그이미지를 개념 추상화 한 <It's hard to see a orning glory exhibition due to COVID-19>를 라캉의 “해석의 네 방위(É=Jacques Marie Émile Lacan, Écrits, Seuil, 1977, 53)”에 적용한다면 상상계로서 이미지ⓐ ('utre)와 말(moi) a의 선과 상징계로서 해석A (utre)와 그림(Es) S의 선을 교차하는 대각선 위치에 둠으로써 회화 작품을 '해석의 네 방위(The quadruple)'로 해석한다.
여기서 라캉적 개념미술 추상화는 거울이론을 통해 실재를 드러내는 것은 유아가 거울에 비친 기표적 이미지를 상상계 이미지ⓐ와 동일시하게 상상계에서부터 시작된다. 주체로써 기표적 이미지가 자신이 아닌 것을 인지하면서 기표의 상징적 이미지와 실재와의 분리를 통해 상징계로서 해석A (utre)된 추상화로 전이한다. 그 추상화 이미지와 실재가 분열을 통해 실재와의 만남이 이루어진다. 실재로서 기표적 이미지는 왜상적 이미지로 드러나지만 비실재로서 실재와의 어긋난 만남 즉 추상화 다. 'It's hard to see a morning glory exhibition due to COVID-19' 는 일상에 타자의 욕망이었던 풍경화에 접근해 2차원 평면도를 거부하고 환상적인 평면상을 두 평면으로 분할해 타자의 욕망을 가역적인 그림자로 인식할 수 있도록 직물 구조로 보여서 가역적 시간성의 그림자를 인식에 접근하게 만든다. 무의미한 존재로 인식에 접근해 상징적 표현을 끌어내는 체계로 전환되는 그림에서 그림자의 속성으로 존재하는 숨겨진 구조의 대상에 숨겨진 미의 구조의 오브제ɑ를 드러내기 어렵다.
지각된 상징적 표상은 소지(素地)로서 잘 보이는 조형적 미적 구조가 없는 언어적 구성물이다. 즉 인식된 상징적 표현은 이미지의 밑바닥에서 잘 보이는 조형적 미적 구조가 결여된 언어적 구성이다.
그것은 평면적 이미지로 표현으로 인식되지만 현실을 숨기는 가상 이미지입니다. 그 이미지는 현실의 시각에서 벗어나 숨겨진 미적 구조로서 욕망의 구조에 속하는 가상의 이미지로서 의미 구조에 귀속된다.
<It's hard to see a morning glory exhibition due to COVID-19>는 나팔꽃의 배경을 교차된 실로 만든 천의 표면에 가역광으로 조작하여 배경 음영 처리한 것이다.
그리고 천의 작은 구멍에 반사되는 빛은 비현실적인 그림에서 가역광과 겹쳐져 물체의 평면을 확장하는 추상적인 이미지다. 그 이미지의 의미는 상대의 욕망을 대변하는 나팔꽃이 맞닥뜨린 기존 보편성의 현실이 가역광과 겹쳐 공간 전체를 색의 의미로 장식한다.
나팔꽃은 빛의 설정이 없는 반면에 배경을 콰트로센토 회화의 방식으로 그려져 있다. 이것은 상상계에서 상징계로 전이되는 과정으로 실재로서 비존재 하는 것과 이미지 즉 상상계에서 거울에 비친 이미지가 공존한다. 그것은 공존된 이미지로서 나팔꽃의 실재를 재현하고 있지만 배경 이미지는 나팔꽃과 동일시하고 있지만 실재가 아닌 음영색과 동화된 이미지는 실재의 은유적 의미는 일치하지는 않는다. 그 의미는 언어구조와 같이 은유적이므로 나팔꽃의 형태와는 동일하지 않다. 그렇기 때문에 실재가 무엇인지에 대하여 나팔꽃과 이미지가 다른 가역적 빛으로 생성된 그림자의 의미 구조는 비실재 하는 그림자와는 또 다른 실재로서 오브제이다. 이것은 주체로서 이미지가 아닌 타자의 욕망으로한 존재로서 실재의 오브제이다.

라캉의 오브제ɑ로서 어긋난 이미지는 사진적 이미지를 콜라주로 시각화한 것과 일치한다. 그것은 평면이든 입체든 무관한 응시영역으로한 라캉 이론체계에서 타자의 욕망으로 생성된 이미지이기 때문이다. <morning glory 2021-e-back>에서 오브제로서 세 개의 나팔꽃중에서 중앙 아래에 있는 나팔꽃은 왜상적 이미지로서 오브제ɑ가 응시로 보이는 이미지다. 여기서 나팔꽃은 가역적 시간의 연속성에서 순간적 응시로 정지된 존재성을 말한다.
<morning glory 2021-e-back>에서의 이미지는 원근법적 시각체계 여백과 오브제도 실제가 아닌 가역적 시간성에 맞추어 나팔꽃을 평면화 시켜서 가역적 시간성의 존재를 보인다.
그러나 나팔꽃의 존재를 재현하고 있지만 나팔꽃은 배경 이미지로 확인되지만 오브제‘ɑ’와 일치하지는 않는다. 그것은 존재가 무엇인지에 대하여 나팔꽃과 이미지가 다른 가역적 빛으로 생성된 그림자의 의미 구조다. 비실재 하는 그림자와는 또 다른 가역적 시간성으로 한 존재로서의 오브제이다.
따라서 그 오브제는 주체로서의 이미지가 아닌 타자의 욕망으로한 존재로서 실재다.
중앙 아래에 있는 나팔꽃은 가역적 빛을 연결하여 존재의 자리를 정하여 방향을 표시하는 시간의 과정과 그것이 존재하는 공간을 형성한다. 하나의 광원적 시점에서 형성되는 나팔꽃은 양감은 존재하지 않는다. 여기서 나팔꽃은 콜라주처럼 부분적인 조각난 이미지다. 이러한 방식으로 각각의 부분적인 이미지는 조각난 모양이 동시에 노출되면서 공간에 존재한다.
평면성으로 한 나팔꽃은 관찰자의 응시에서 생성된 피사체의 형태다. 이것은 양감을 소거한 나팔꽃을 통해 가역적 빛으로 한 색조로 잇닿은 존재를 추출하여서 지각적 측면에서 외형적 이미지로서의 나팔꽃을 배경의 여러개 가역적 빛으로 한 그림자와 대조되어 왜상적 이미지로 전환된 평면성을 보인다.
라캉적 시선은 보는 관점에 따라 실재와 비실재가 오브제를 재현하는 가시적 이미지로서 선택할 수 없으며 오브제를 실제의 이미지를 표현하는 사진적 이미지는 비실재로서의 이미지로 규명한다. 따라서 오브제에서 존재는 라캉의 오브제ɑ와 유사한 왜상적 이미지다.
따라서 가역적 빛으로 생성된 음영을 보는 라캉적 시선은 보는 관점에 따라 실재와 비실재가 오브제를 재현한다. 그 음영의 구조는 가시적 이미지로서 선택할 수 없으나 타자의 욕망을 되돌리는 오브제를 실제적 이미지로서 개념을 보고서 그 의미를 말한다. 그리고 그 개념을 만화평론처럼 비실재로서의 이미지로 규명한다 즉 욕망적 오브제의 존재는 라캉의 오브제ɑ와 개념적으로 유사한 왜상적 이미지로 보인다. /글. 미술평론가 최철주 (추상 화가 & 문화디자인박사)
