어쩌다 보니 브런치에 밑줄 긋기만 하는 것 같지만, 그래도 좋은 곡은 생각날 때마다 남겨야 하니까. 오늘의 밑줄 긋기는 휘트니 휴스턴의 I Look to You. 사실 휘트니 휴스턴 부른 명곡이 너무나도 많지만, 나는 그중에서 그녀의 마지막 정규 음반 타이틀인 이 곡을 가장 좋아한다.

가사 하나하나가 다 너무 좋지만, 내가 가장 좋아하는 가사는 "선율이 모두 사라진 후에도 당신에게서 난 노래를 들어요". 휘트니 휴스턴의 추모식에서 알 켈리가 휘트니 휴스턴을 위해 부른 추모곡이기도 한데, 그녀의 진실한 마음이 담겨있는 곡이기에 모두의 마음에 남아있는 곡인 것 같다. 너무나도 빨리 떠나버린 디바, 휘트니 휴스턴을 추모하며.
