A New York Times report stating that Trump’s side had “sent a 15-point ceasefire proposal via Pakistan’s mediation” was altered by Korean media outlets to “delivered to Iran,” and President Trump’s remark that he was “in talk” was distorted to “in ceasefire negotiations.” However, Iran retaliated by calling the reports “fake.”

On the 24th, the NYT reported, “Two officials well-versed in diplomacy revealed that the United States sent a 15-point plan to Iran to end the Middle East war, reflecting the Trump administration’s desire to find a way out of the conflict while dealing with the economic fallout.”

The report continued, “It was unclear how widely this plan, delivered via Pakistan, was shared among Iranian officials, and whether Iran would accept it as a basis for negotiations. It was also unclear whether Israel, which has been bombing Iran alongside the U.S., agreed to this proposal.”

The NYT continued by reporting, “The New York Times was unable to obtain a copy of the plan, but officials who requested anonymity to discuss sensitive details shared a rough outline, stating that it deals with Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs,” adding, “As of now, there are no signs that the war will end soon; Israeli authorities stated that they expect the situation to continue for several weeks.”

Yonhap News reported on the 24th, stating, “It has been reported that the Trump administration has delivered a list of 15 demands to Iran,” and added, “According to U.S. media outlets including CNN and The New York Times (NYT) on the 24th, the U.S. reportedly delivered a list of 15 demands to Iran through Pakistan. However, this report has absolutely no connection to the fact that he "conveyed" messages.

In its related NYT report, the section on the "US ceasefire proposal" was the only one highlighted, reporting that "an Iranian and Pakistani officials who discussed sensitive communications on condition of anonymity conveyed that he recently contacted Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and former Commander of the Revolutionary Guard, to propose that Pakistan host talks between Iran and the United States." It further reported that "Marshal Munir met with President Trump twice in 2025, and President Trump praised him as his 'favorite marshal'," and that "Pakistan's Prime Minister Shevaz Sharif stated on social media platform X on the 24th that his country fully supports the pursuit of dialogue to end the Middle East war. He wrote, 'Provided by Iran's consent, Pakistan is ready and honored to be the host nation to facilitate meaningful and decisive dialogue for a comprehensive resolution of the ongoing conflict.'"

Following these Korean media reports, South Korean stocks rose again on the 25th, unlike the earlier decline in the New York stock market.

Reuters further reported, "On the 24th, the day after Trump postponed the threat to bomb Iranian power plants and stated that 'productive' negotiations had taken place, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his willingness to host talks on ending the war between the U.S. and Iran."

The report continued, "Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif posted on X, stating that Pakistan fully supports efforts to push for dialogue and is ready to host 'meaningful and decisive talks for a comprehensive solution.'"

The report noted, "Pakistan has maintained long-standing ties with its neighbor, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and has been building relations with Trump."

Reuters went on to report that "while the U.S. and Israel stated that they had 'did not make sufficient progress in negotiations to end Iran's nuclear program' following the launch of airstrikes against Iran on February 28, Oman, the mediator at the time, stated that there had been 'significant progress' in the negotiations," thereby bringing up once again the fact that the U.S. and Israel 'deceived the mediator Oman' during the negotiations regarding the operation to kill Iranian leaders in a surprise attack.
