이재명 경기지사는 "제가 제도에 없던 방식 동원해서 성남시민들에게 대박 안겨드렸다“며 특수법인을 앞세운 대장동 신도시 5500억 사건을 민주당 대선토론에서 19일 밝혔다.

화천대유 이성문 대표는 “권 전 대법관과 대주주 김씨 두 사람은 오래 전부터 친분이 있던 사이”라고 한국일보에 19일 밝혔다.

천화동인 1호가 대주주 김모씨(법조언론인)이고 천화동인2·3호가 대주주 김씨 친인척, 4호 남모 변호사(법무법인 강남), 5호는 회계사, 6호는 조모 변호사(법무법인 강남), 7호는 대표 김씨 관계자 등으로 짜여졌고, 배당이 일률적이며 빠르게 이뤄졌다

‘조기 배당’에 대해 이성문 화천대유 대표(변호사)는 19일 ‘한국일보’에 “대장동 개발사업은 신도시 조성 사업”이라며 “신도시 조성 사업은 통상5~10년, 길게는15년 이상도 걸린다. 사업기간이 길기 때문에 경기변동 위험이 크다.2010년 리먼 사태와 같은 글로벌 금융위기가 닥쳤을 때 많은 부동산 개발회사가 망한 것도 이런 이유다. 대장동 개발 사업은2015년 시작해2021년12월 준공을 앞두고 있다. 7년이 걸리는 사업”이라고 변동에 의한 수익 추락 대비책으로 밝혔다.

이 대표는 한국일보에 ‘선배인 대주주 김씨로 참여’를 확인했고, 특수법인 성남의뜰에 소액의 천화대유로 고리를 걸고, 이를 매개로 천화대유 1-7호를 급조해 조기 배당을 천화대유가 기동하도록 민관합동법인이 처음부터 배제된 것으로 보인다.

이 지사는 대선 토론에서 "제가 개입해서 막지 않았다면 현재 성남시가 획득한 5,503억 원을 포함한 모든 이익은 민간에 귀속됐을 것"이라며 화천대유 고수익을 챙겼다는 지적에 "토건 세력들과 결합했던 당시 한나라당 게이트가 숨어있다가 제게 태클을 당해 공공환수로 5,500억 원 이상을 성남시가 환수한 것"이라고 밝혔다.

이성문 대표는 한국일보에 ‘권순일 전 대법관, 박영수 전 특검, 강찬우 전 수원지검장이 부동산·금융 분야 전문가라 보기 어렵지 않나. 개발사업에 대한 이해도가 높지 않을 것 같은데 굳이 영입한 이유가 뭔가’ 질의에 "법조기자로 오래 활동했던 대주주 김씨와의 인연 때문이다. 김씨가 법조기자로 출입할 때부터 이들과 인연이 오래됐다. 친분이 없었다면 이렇게 유명한 분들을 어떻게 영입할 수 있었겠나. 순전히 개인적인 친분, 그 이상도 이하도 아니다“고 밝혔다.

이 대표는 이어 ‘고문직 제안에 이재명 지사 관련 이야기가 나올 수도 있으니, 거절했어야 하는 것 아닌가’ 질의에 "권 전 대법관과 대주주 김씨가 친분이 없는데도 이재명 지사가 무죄가 났다면, 보은성 영입이라는 논리가 말이 될 것이다. 하지만 두 사람은 오래 전부터 친분이 있던 사이다. 만약 영입한 분들을 통해 청탁이나 로비를 하려고 했다면 공식적인 고문 자리를 줄 게 아니라 몰래 뒷돈을 주지 않았겠나. 마침 자문이 필요한 시점에 개인적 친분이 있는 분들을 모신 것뿐이다“고 밝혔다.
