미국이 12월 생산자물가지수(PPI) 9.7% 상승(전년대비)에 1월 첫주 실업보험 청구가 전주보다 2만3천명 증가 23만명이 되고 한국은 금리인상과 적자국채가 겹치며 금리압박이 커졌다.

미 노동부는 12일 지난해 12월 소비자물가지수(CPI)가 7%로 1982년 이후 최고치로 밝혔다.

미 CPI는 지난해 11월 6.8%였고, 이미 3개월 연속 6% 상회로 인플레이션 고착화에 근접했다.

한국은 정부의 수출지원에 11월 수입물가 상승률(35.5%)이 수출물가 상승률(25.5%)을 압도해 지난 12월 수출 607억달러 선전에도 무역적자로 빠져 11월 30억달러 흑자에서 12월 5억8600만달러 적자이다.

한국은행 금융통화위원회는 14일 “앞으로 소비자물가 상승률은 11월 전망 경로 상회해 상당기간 3%대 이어갈 것”이라며 지난해 11월의 ‘수정 경제전망’에서 올해 소비자물가 2% 상승률에서 2개월만에 수정하며, 기준금리를 1.25%로 올렸다.

미 연준(Fed)에서 올해 최대 4차례 금리인상 발언이 잇따르며 당초 계획보다 긴축 강도 높여야 한다고 블룸버그가 13일 보도했다.

홍남기 부총리는 14일 추경에 대해 “14조원 규모”라며 “재원은 일부 기금 제외하고 대부분 적자국채 발행 충당"이라 밝혔고, 이주열 한은 총재는 ‘금리인상’ 발표에 이어 "적자국채 발행으로 금리 상승 압력”을 확인했다.
