AP는 미 관료를 인용해 현대차의 투자가 8천500개의 일자리를 창출할 것이라고 밝혔다.

조지아주 지역신문 '서배너 모닝 뉴스'는 이날 브라이언 카운티의 2천284 에이커(270만 평) 부지의 사진을 현대차 공장 부지로 보도했다.

현대자동차 그룹은 2006년에 현대차 앨라배마 공장에 이어 2009년에는 기아차 조지아주 공장 가동하며 조지아주에 부품 공급망을 집중 구축했고, 이번에 70억 달러로 전기차 전용공장을 설치해 미국 기업으로 ‘현지화’하고 있다.
