바이든 행정부는 1조달러 규모의 인프라 법안에서 도로 다리 공항 항만 등 산업기반시설 보수와 탄소 배출 감소를 시작하며 2022년 말까지 전국에 수십억 달러로 전기차와 전기차 배터리 충전소를 설치한다.
현대차 미국법인의 상반기 적자는 자율주행 모셔널, UAM 법인 슈퍼널, 로보틱스 법인 보스턴 다이내믹스를 합쳐 8012억원 순손실이다.
모셔널의 적자 규모는 상반기 1억원 매출에서 순손실 5162억원이고, 지난해 상반기 3억원 매출 순손실 2158억원에 비해 적자폭이 2배이나 비율은 6배가 커졌다.
정의선 회장이 개인 지분 20%를 쥔 보스턴 다이내믹스는 올해 2월 설립돼 상반기 1969억원 순손실이다.
현대차 자회사로 출발한 보스턴 다이내믹스는 현대차 30%, 현대모비스 20% 현대글로비스10%, 소프트뱅크 20% 지분에 나머지는 정 회장 개인이 갖고 있다.
현대차는 보스턴 다이내믹스 30%를 미국 신사업 투자법인 HMG Global LLC 출자 예정이라고 정 회장의 미국회사가 된다.미 교통부가 청정 에너지와 식수 확보 전기차 충전소 등에 추진키로 했던 5천여 프로젝트의 1130억달러 인프라법 집행을 주정부와 논의하기 시작했다고 로이터 통신이 19일 보도했다.
바이든 행정부의 인프라법은 지난해 11월 통과되며 플로리다 탐파항, 네바다 태평양 파크웨이, 유니언퍼시픽 철도, 벌링턴 산타페철도 등의 확장 보수에 집행된다.
미치 랜드리우 백악관 인프라 조정관은 로이터통신에 "돈을 문 밖으로 꺼내는 중이고, (예산 사용) 속사정 설명하는 중"이라며 "이 법안은 혁신적이다. 인프라 법안 집행 통해 연방 정부 소유의 국토 개발과 청정 에너지 및 식수 확보에 나설 것“이라고 밝혔다.
바이든 행정부는 민주당 정책인 인플레 감축법을 16일 가동해, 대기업에 법인세 인상으로 7900억달러 증세 정책으로 기후변화 대응(3860억달러) 의료지원(980억달러)이외 3050억달러를 재정적자 감축 투입에서 소비자에 전기차 보조금 최대 7500달러를 지원한다.
정의선 회장은 5월 서울서 바이든 대통령을 직접 만나 미국에 2025년까지 로보틱스 등에 50억달러, 조지아주에 전기차 전용공장 55억달러 등 105억 달러 미국 투입을 발표했다.
