북 미사일 발사에 유엔안보리가 5일(한국시간 6일) 개최되며 미국 유럽이 중국 러시아와 재대결 양상에서 일본 발언권이 커지고 있다.

이번 안보리 의장국인 가봉의 조정에 의해 앞서 5월에 미국 주도에서 중국 러시아 거부로 무산된 북한 제재 강화 결의안이 공개 긴급회의로 결정됐다고 요미우리가 이날 보도했다.

안보리에서는 우크라이나 정세와 다른 문제들에 대한 미국, 유럽, 중국, 러시아 간의 대립이 심화되면서 “미국은 이번 긴급회의에서 중국과 러시아가 추가 제재에 반발할 수밖에 없다고 믿으며 유엔 안보리의 통일된 의도 표현을 우선시하고 있다”고 요미우리가 유엔 관계자를 인용했다.
카린 장피에르 백악관 대변인은 4일 정례브리핑에서 북한(DPRK) 공식 명칭을 쓰며, 시험한 미사일을 ‘장거리’라며 “미국은 일본 상공으로 장거리 탄도미사일을 발사한 북한의 무모하고 위험한 결정을 강력히 규탄한다”고 밝혔다.

말콤 데이비스 호주 전략정책연구소 수석 분석가는 4일 "(한국) 현무5가 최대 9t의 재래식 탄두를 탑재할 수 있고 더 가벼운 탄두로 3천㎞ 비행해 이론적으로 중국과 일본 공격할 수 있다"며 "윤석열 정부는 완전히 북한에 초점 맞추는 것에서 벗어나 미사일 포함해 역내 강대국을 추구하고 있다"고 사우스차이나모닝포스트에 밝혔다.

북한의 탄도미사일 발사에 대응해 한국은 4일 현무2를 발사했다.
