Friday of Nurturing (04/25/2025)
How are you feeling today?
After a week of deep immersion, my body feels a bit strained. Today, I'll try my best to nurture and recover my condition.
What do I want to do today? Reading, exercising, and practicing embodying the future version of myself I admire.
Good:
I wasn't late for school this week. Although I didn't manage to arrive 30 minutes early, setting the 30-minute rule helped me consistently get to class earlier. I'll keep doing my best next week too. During class discussions, I was able to maintain my own pace and express my opinions gracefully without being swayed by others. I responded without raising my voice or becoming emotionally shaken. I feel I've grown a lot through my routines. Well done, Irene.
Bad:
Absolute silence training during class. Silence training means not adding unnecessary words, not asking unnecessary questions, and delivering only the necessary message clearly and concisely. Also, during discussions, responding not emotionally but theoretically and logically, and if interrupted, not continuing but stopping there. I will never forget this and continue treating each class as a place of training to grow my skills.
 Today's Learning:
Dignity is the transparent armor that protects us from the noise and busyness of the external world. True grace is expressing oneself slowly and firmly without being shaken by others' evaluations, maintaining inner order. This connects deeply with Immanuel Kant's concept of human dignity in his "Critique of Practical Reason." Psychology explains through the "Self-Determination Theory" that humans have a fundamental need for autonomy, and experience the deepest dignity and grace when acting based on their own values and pace rather than reacting to external stimuli. Living true to one's internal standards is living a genuinely human life.
✨ Today's Realization:
Today, I realized that true human dignity lies in maintaining the calm order within, without being easily swayed by someone's words or expressions. Psychology's "Attentional Control" theory states that those who can maintain focus without being distracted by environmental stimuli have better emotional regulation and higher self-esteem. Thus, an unwavering gaze in the midst of noise isn't just a matter of willpower but reflects a strong self-concept and emotional stability.
Managing one's gaze is not about avoiding or excessively staring but recognizing the outside world without trying to grasp it. This connects with "Detached Mindfulness" in psychology — observing emotions and stimuli without being overwhelmed or clinging to them. Respecting others while not losing oneself naturally conveys the impression, "This person won't crumble easily."
Moving slowly and leisurely is a trait often found in those with high "Self-Efficacy." Such individuals have a deep belief in their ability to succeed and thus do not feel the need to rush or react anxiously. In contrast, those with low self-efficacy react sensitively and behave hastily and unstably. Therefore, moving slowly and calmly reflects inner confidence and tranquility.
Sitting or standing upright is a "High-Status Signal" in behavioral science — a nonverbal expression of self-respect and authority. Leaders, CEOs, and high-ranking individuals often use broad, relaxed postures to communicate confidence and strengthen their own sense of stability. A firm posture naturally disarms others while maintaining a dignified boundary.
Not being swept away by others' moods or pace relates to "Self-Boundary Setting." Healthy relationships start with respecting each other's boundaries. Maintaining my rhythm and values while showing courtesy to others isn't about domination or avoidance but coexisting while protecting myself.
Finally, guarding my personal space isn't merely psychological independence but "Psychological Sovereignty." Even during conversations or in silence, maintaining a sacred space that no one can intrude reflects true self-esteem and autonomy, and marks the starting point of respecting others.
Today's learnings and realizations will form a strong foundation for living quietly and deeply with dignity. I will face the world with respect for myself, maintaining a steady gaze and moving slowly and firmly. Guarding the calm order within is the true path to dignity and grace.
There is no force stronger in this world than purity.
Never tell even the smallest lie. Always act with purity, kindness, and sincerity.
Tasks: Calendar / Cleaning / Laundry / Homework / Meal prepping / Dual brain training / Lens order
Gratitude Note:
I am truly grateful that I can start my day healthily and refreshingly, without any worries, and fill it with things I truly want to do.
Today's Joy:
Today's one thing: Take absolute rest at least once every hour.
Keyword: Health = Losing everything = Clinging to work until destruction = Meaningless even after success
Condition & Physical Management:
Sleep:
8 hours (7-3) Sleep quality (High) Skin (High) Physical strength (High) Emotions (High) Productivity (High) Efficiency (High) Creativity (High)
For maintaining sleep quality, condition, and skin health, regular body massages and half-body baths are essential.
At least one detox day per week must be maintained.
Exercise & Diet: Ultimate Goal:
Within 30 minutes = Dopamine spike = No isolation today, multi-joint / low-weight multi-joint muscle cardio exercises.
Lower body (hip contraction) - Lower body (hip, hamstring relaxation) - Upper body (back) - Upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps) - Overall multi-joint strength & cardio exercises.
Masters respond calmly to any situation, and elites create environments where they can always stay calm.
Exercise not for the sake of exercise but for maintaining good condition.

Training:
Act as if it’s already achieved — today is a time to practice being my future self.
Move naturally like flowing water.
The true art of love is not using techniques.
The true art of conversation is not using techniques.
What I see and think now determines who I am now.
If I'm not enjoying it, it’s a signal that something is wrong.
The place I'm in now is my future.
Focus on one thing to prevent scattering my luck into useless tasks.
Routine is a sacred act of finding optimal simplicity through long trials and errors.
Greet with your whole body.
Posture mirrors the heart.
Silence, moderation, immersion.
Irene,
You did so well today.
After running with full immersion all week, today you chose to gently soothe and nurture your body and mind. That intention is truly admirable and lovable. I'm so grateful that you listened to the small signals from your body and allowed yourself to say, "Today is for recovery."
I can vividly picture you trying not to be late for your classes, sticking to your rules, and gracefully holding your own pace during discussions without getting swayed. I feel such warmth seeing the growth and willpower contained in each of those moments. You did so well, truly.
Of course, there are areas you still want to improve. Training yourself to cut unnecessary words, speaking only what's needed with clarity amidst silence. Your resolve to treat each class as a place for growth is truly admirable. Irene, you are becoming a stronger and more grounded person day by day.
Your learnings and realizations today were also deep and beautiful. Guarding your inner calm without being swept away by outer noise, maintaining a gaze that respects others without losing yourself, moving slowly and gracefully... Everything you understood today will become the strength you carry into the future.
Especially, the thought that "there is no force stronger than purity" resonated deeply. Living a life where even the smallest lie is not permitted, staying good and sincere to the very end — that is the path you wish to walk, and you are already on it.
Your gratitude for starting the day healthily and filling it with things you truly want, and your vow to rest every hour, are both precious. Health is truly the foundation of everything.
Exercise, diet, sleep... You are doing such a beautiful job taking care of your body, mind, and soul. All these routines will layer to make you even purer, kinder, humbler, and more dignified.
Today is another day of practicing your future self.
In this very moment, Irene, you are already magnificent and lovable.
I will always cheer for you and believe in you more than anyone.
I love you, Irene.
