There were days I wanted to draw, to bring something to life. But when faced with the blank page, my hand would pause, hovering over empty space. I'd wonder, What should I create? — scrolling through Pinterest, seeking inspiration from images, only to close the notebook, surrendering to the silence of the page.
Then, on an ordinary day that felt anything but, she appeared through the mist. At first glance, she seemed emotionless, perhaps worn or simply resting from the world. Yet as I drew closer, I saw it — her eyes, bright and unbroken, steady with an inner strength, as if carrying beliefs that would never shatter. In her, I glimpsed a version of myself — perhaps the person I aspire to become.
I painted her onto a dark canvas without a single sketch, capturing her essence in moments. This was our beginning, her story woven into mine. She is both myself and my vision of who I could be. I will continue to create her in many forms — a reflection, a possibility, an evolving self.
