신명기(Deu) 22장
20. 그 일이 참되어 그 처녀에게 처녀의 표적이 없거든
20. If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found,
21. 그 처녀를 그의 아버지 집 문에서 끌어내고 그 성읍 사람들이 그를 돌로 쳐죽일지니 이는 그가 그의 아버지 집에서 창기의 행동을 하여 이스라엘 중에서 악을 행하였음이라 너는 이와 같이 하여 너희 가운데서 악을 제할지니라
21. she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
This capital punishment seems so far away from the modern society and it sounds like old fashioned and out of date and even horrible as most young people tend to do enjoy premarital sex before marriage. If they read this verse, they would be upset and oppose it very strongly. Recently, I even read a thumbnail on U-tub, introducing about her sexual lives with 50 different men, which made me shocking and miserable. The worst thing is that my neighbor's response to my talking about it. She said to me, "What is wrong with her?"
Most people tend to think that our body is just a physical stuff that would disappear with death and it doesn't affect our souls and spirits at all but I don't think so. It is all connected to each other like the trinity of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Our body, soul, and spirit are all connected and these three influence on our ego, personalities, thoughts and minds, and even our eternal life.
I don't want to judge anyone who doesn't care about this kind of warning and want to enjoy promiscuous sexual life. However, i hope that they get wiser enough to understand the meaning of sexual relationships in marriage and His will of it. I mean, marriage and sexual relationship is very precious and meaningful in His plan of making a couple and homes holy, keeping safe from all kinds of other men's and women's temptations. It also gives a couple mental and psychological safty and calmness in a fence of marriage and homes. Plus, it has the mission for the next generations to come by givng birth to children.
The Last thing I want to share and advise to young generations is that we, as a bride and a bridegroom, the most precious gift to each other is not an expensive wedding ring or extravagant bags or watches. The best present to their partner should be a promise of being each other's first and the last sex partner during their lifetime.
