어릴 적 동남아에서 자라며 다양함을 피부로 경험한 것은 내게 유용한 바로미터가 되었다. 그 어떤 사회 현상을 마주했을 때 한쪽만 보지 않게 되는 기능을 하기 때문인데, 좀 더 넓고 열린 시각으로 세상을 볼 수 있다. 그래서 더더욱 어릴 적에 다양성에 노출되어야 한다고 생각한다. 하지만 그게 안되면 #교육 이 그렇게 해주어야 한다. 즉, 마지막 보루이자 최선이 바로 교육이다!
Growing up in Southeast Asia experiencing diversity as a child became a useful barometer in life for me. When facing any social phenomenon, it works to ensure that I look at things from more than one perspective. It allows you to see the world from a wider open mind. So I believe children should experience diversity since young. But if that’s not possible, #education must provide such opportunity. In other words, education is the last frontier and the best chance we’ve got!
