'아마도' 로컬이 아니라면 알기 어려운 곳들
저는 여행지에 가면 그 도시를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 장소를 찾곤 합니다. 서울을 방문하는 여러분들도 그런 장소를 찾고 계시겠죠? 그리고 남산서울타워나 63빌딩 같은 곳을 가실거에요.
이런 장소들, 당연히 좋죠. 하지만 그런 관광지가 아닌, 로컬 사람들이 부담없이 찾는 장소에서 서울을 조망해 보는건 어떨까요?
직접 가본 곳들로만 12곳을 추렸습니다. 시내 버스만으로 접근할 수 있거나, 간혹 택시를 갈아타야 하는 곳이 섞여있습니다. 모두 도심으로부터 멀지 않은 곳이니 근처에 방문할 계획이 있다면 이곳들을 들러 경치를 감상해보세요.
서울의 동쪽으로부터 시작해 서쪽에서 마무리 하겠습니다.
자, 함께 가보실까요?
첫째, '응봉산 팔각정'입니다. 주소는 '성동구 금호동4가 1540'. 서울숲 일대와 성수대교, 한강 건너 압구정동까지 입체적으로 볼 수 있는 곳이죠. 경의중앙선 기차의 움직임과 강변북로의 차량 움직임까지, 서울의 다이나믹스를 느낄수 있는 곳입니다. 버스 하차후 조금만 걸으면 돼요. 편의점에서 음료 하나 사들고 가서 벤치에 앉아있어도 좋습니다. 특히 봄날, 개나리가 피는 시기에 방문하길 추천합니다.
둘째, '창신숭의 채석장 전망대'입니다. 주소는 '종로구 낙산5길 51'. 좀 더 프라이빗하고 모던한 감성을 즐기고 싶다면 전망대 옆 '테르트르 카페'에 가셔도 좋아요. 근처에 있는 '낙산공원'을 산책해도 좋고요. 서울의 구도심과 낙산성곽을 함께 감상할 수 있는 장소입니다. 버스로 갈 수 있어요.
셋째, '세운옥상'입니다. 주소는 '종로구 청계천로 159'. 오늘 소개하는 장소 중 가장 도심에 위치한 곳이에요. 모든 교통수단으로 쉽게 방문할 수 있습니다. 오래된 주상복합 아파트를 리뉴얼한 장소인데, 옥상 공간에서 문화재인 '종묘'와 서울 구도심을 한눈에 담을 수 있습니다. 해질무렵 풍경이 특히 멋지죠.
넷째, 소월로 '컴포트 서울'입니다. 주소는 '용산구 두텁바위로60길 45'. 상업 시설과 전시장, 카페를 겸해 운영하는 곳입니다. 방문한다면 조금의 지출은 하셔야겠죠? 후암동 일대의 낡은 풍경과 도심 풍경이 한눈에 들어옵니다. 모던한 이 공간과 묘하게 어우러지죠. 돈을 쓰기 싫다면 이곳으로부터 남산 하야트 호텔까지 산책하셔도 같은 풍경을 볼 수 있어요. 버스로 쉽게 방문할수 있습니다.
바이크로 가려진 사진만 갖고 있네요. 양해 바랍니다다섯번째, '북촌 한옥마을'입니다. 조망이 좋은 주소는 '종로구 가회동 31-78'이에요. 삼청동 파출소까지 버스타고 오셔서 동네 구경 하면서 올라가세요. 기와 지붕이 어우러진 한옥 풍경과 모던한 도심 풍경이 섞여드는 서울만의 바이브를 느낄수 있어요. 주민 거주지역이니 조용히 하는거 잊지 마시고요.
여섯번째, '더숲 초소책방'을 소개합니다. 주소는 '종로구 인왕산로 172'입니다. 버스 정류장에 내린다면 10분~20분 정도 걸어야 닿을 수 있는 산 중턱에 있는 카페입니다. 걷기 힘든 분이라면 택시를 이용하세요. 도심에서 멀지 않은 곳이라 요금 부담은 없는 편입니다. 자동차는 가져가지 마세요. 주차장이 좁아서 무척 힘들거에요. 산의 정취와 공간의 아늑함, 도심 풍경을 한번에 즐길수 있는 장소입니다.
일곱번째, 3호터널 북측 남산오르막길인데요. 근처 버스 정류장에 내린 뒤 가정집 주소를 통해 걸어서 찾아오셔야 해요. '중구 소공로4길 29'입니다. 바로 옆 골목길에서 남산3호터널 주변과 구도심을 한눈에 조망할 수 있어요. 근처에 있는 남산 케이블카를 이용할수도 있고요. 저라면 케이블카를 타기보다 남산공원길을 걸을것 같네요.
여덟번째, 평창동 '더 피아노'라는 카페입니다. 주소는 '종로구 평창6길 71'. 버스 정류장에 내려 15분 정도 가파른 언덕길을 올라가야 해요. 택시를 이용해도 좋지만, 언덕에서 내려올 때는 택시를 잡기 어려울거에요. 돌 산을 깎아 만든 카페고요, 노키즈 존입니다. 음료 가격은 비싸지만, 독특한 풍경을 감상하는 비용이라고 생각할만 해요.
아홉번째, '안산 자락길'도 아주 멋지죠. 일출 일몰 명소이기도 합니다. 전체 산책로를 돌면 두 시간 정도가 소요되고, 일부 코스만 걸어도 좋습니다. 중간중간 전망대 혹은 정상으로 향하는 루트들이 여럿 있어요. 가장 적게 걷고 멋진 조망을 감상하려면 주소 '연희동 산 2-37'에서 출발해 북쪽 산책로를 걸어보세요. 30분 가량 걸으면서 서울의 다양한 모습을 한눈에 담을수 있습니다. 이곳은 4월 초부터 중순까지 서울의 벚꽃 명소로 알려진 곳이기도 합니다.
열번째, '동작노을카페'입니다. 주소는 '동작구 동작동 316-3'이에요. 바로 건너편에 '동작구름카페'도 있어요. 이곳의 주소는 '반포동 1333-1'이죠. 버스로 쉽게 닿을 수 있는 교량 위 카페입니다. 해질 무렵이라면 '동작노을카페'의 풍경이 좀 더 좋을거에요.
열한번째, '더한강' 이라는 카페입니다. 주소는 '동작구 노량진로32길 29-6'이에요. 한강대교와 한강철교, 강 건너편의 용산구 일대와 서울타워를 한눈에 담을 수 있는 장소죠. 근처에 있는 노들섬까지 산책해보세요. 다면적인 서울의 매력을 느낄수 있을거에요.
아들이 가리고 있는 사진만 남아있네요열두번째, 상암 하늘공원 혹은 노을공원에 올라가보세요. 하늘공원의 주소는 '마포구 상암동 481-72', 노을공원은 '마포구 상암동 478-1'입니다. 버스로 언덕 아래까지 쉽게 갈 수 있고, 언덕 위까지는 걷거나 유료 전기 카트를 이용할 수 있어요. 잘 꾸며진 공원을 산책하는 것도 즐겁고, 뻥 뚫린 한강변 풍경을 조망하는 것도 시원합니다.

Is this your first visit to Seoul? Here are 12 highly recommended View Spots by locals
Borders that were tightly closed due to COVID-19 are opening one by one. I can see that the number of foreign tourists is increasing again in Seoul little by little.
When I travel, I often look for places where I can see the city at a glance. You who visit Seoul must be looking for such a place, right? And you will go to tourists’ place like Namsan Seoul Tower or 63 Building. These places are, of course, good. But how about looking at Seoul from a place that locals casually visit, rather than from a tourist destination?
I selected 12 places that I personally visited. It is accessible only by city bus, or occasionally a mix of places requiring a transfer to a taxi. All of them are not far from the city center, so if you plan to visit nearby, make sure to stop by to take in the scenery.
We will start from the east of Seoul and finish to the west.
So, shall we go together?
First, 'Eungbongsan Octagonal Pavilion'. The address is '1540 Geumho-dong 4-ga, Seongdong-gu'. It is a place where you can see the whole area of Seoul Forest, Seongsu Bridge, and even Apgujeong-dong across the Han River in three dimensions. It is a place where you can feel the dynamics of Seoul, from the movement of trains on the Gyeongui Central Line to the movement of vehicles on the Gangbyeon Expressway. After getting off the bus, just walk a little. You can buy a drink from the convenience store and sit on the bench. It is especially recommended to visit in spring, when forsythia is in bloom.
Second, it is the 'Changsin sungui Quarry Observatory'. The address is '51, Naksan 5-gil, Jongno-gu'. If you want to enjoy a more private and modern sensibility, you can go to the 'Tertre Café' next to the observatory. You can also take a walk in the nearby 'Naksan Park'. It is a place where you can enjoy the old city center of Seoul and the Naksan Fortress Wall together. You can go by bus.
Third, 'Sewoon Rooftop'. The address is '159 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno-gu'. It is the most centrally located place among the places introduced today. Easily accessible by all means of transport. It is a place where an old residential-commercial apartment was renewed, and from the rooftop space, you can see the cultural asset 'Jongmyo' and the old city of Seoul at a glance. The scenery is especially nice at sunset.
Fourth, Sowol-ro 'Comfort Seoul'. The address is '45, Duteopbawi-ro 60-gil, Yongsan-gu'. It is a place that combines commercial facilities, exhibition halls, and cafes. If you visit, you will have to spend a little bit, right? You can see the old scenery and downtown scenery of Huam-dong at a glance. It fits perfectly with this modern space. If you don't want to spend money, you can take a walk from here to the Namsan Hyatt Hotel and see the same scenery. It is easily accessible by bus.
Fifth, 'Bukchon Hanok Village'. The address with a good view is '31-78 Gahoe-dong, Jongno-gu'. Take a bus to the Samcheong-dong police box and go up while looking around the neighborhood. You can feel the unique vibe of Seoul where the traditional Korean house with tiled roofs blends with the modern urban landscape. It's a residential area, so don't forget to be quiet.
Sixth, Introducing 'The Soop(forest) Choso Bookstore'. The address is '172 Inwangsan-ro, Jongno-gu'. If you get off at the bus stop, it is a cafe located halfway up the mountain where you can reach it by walking for about 10 to 20 minutes. If you have difficulty walking, take a taxi. It's not far from the city center, so there's no charge. Don't take your car. The parking lot is narrow, so it will be very difficult. It is a place where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the mountain, the coziness of space, and the scenery of the city all at once.
Seventh, it is the Namsan uphill road north of Namsan Tunnel No. 3. You have to get off at the nearby bus stop and walk to the address of the house. This is '29 Sogong-ro 4-gil, Jung-gu'. From the alley right next to it, you can see the area around Namsan Tunnel 3 and the old city center at a glance. You can also use the nearby Namsan Cable Car. If it were me, I would rather walk on the Namsan Park Road than ride the cable car.
Eighth, it is a cafe called 'The Piano' in Pyeongchang-dong. The address is '71, Pyeongchang 6-gil, Jongno-gu'. You have to get off at the bus stop and climb a steep hill for about 15 minutes. You can also take a taxi, but it will be difficult to get a taxi when you come down the hill. It's a cafe carved out of a stone mountain, and it's a No Kids Zone. Drinks are expensive, but it's well worth the cost of enjoying the unique scenery.
Ninth, 'Ansan Jarak-gil' is also very cool. It is also a sunrise and sunset spot. It takes about two hours to walk the whole trail, and it is good to walk only part of the trail. There are several routes to the observatory or to the summit. If you want to walk the least and enjoy the great view, start from the address 'San 2-37 Yeonhui-dong' and walk the northern trail. You can see various aspects of Seoul at a glance while walking for about 30 minutes. It is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot in Seoul from early to mid-April.
The tenth, 'Dongjak Sunset Cafe'. The address is '316-3 Dongjak-dong, Dongjak-gu'. There is also Dongjak Cloud Cafe right across the street. The address of this place is 'Banpo-dong 1333-1'. It is a cafe on the bridge that can be easily reached by bus. At sunset, the scenery of 'Dongjak Sunset Cafe' will be better.
The eleventh is a cafe called 'The Hangang'. The address is '29-6 Noryangjin-ro 32-gil, Dongjak-gu'. It is a place where you can see the Hangang Bridge, the Hangang Railroad Bridge, the entire Yongsan-gu area across the river, and the Seoul Tower at a glance. Take a walk to the nearby Nodeul Island. You will be able to feel the multifaceted charm of Seoul.
Twelfth, go up to Sangam Sky Park or Noeul Park. The address of Sky Park is '481-72 Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu', and Noeul Park is '478-1 Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu'. You can easily get to the bottom of the hill by bus, and you can walk or use an electric cart for a fee to reach the top of the hill. It's fun to take a walk in the well-decorated park, and it's cool to look out over the open landscape of the Han River.
