Go through ~:

- 검토하다, 살펴보다 (Review)

- 겪다, 경험하다 (Experience)

- 통과하다, 지나가다.

여러 의미가 있지만, 기본적으로 “훑고 지나가는” 느낌으로 쓰이는 것 같아요.

저는 주로 미팅에서 디자인 프레젠테이션을 시작하면서, 벤치마크, ASIS 분석 등에 대한 검토내용을 짚고 넘어갈 때, 사용합니다.

- Before we dive into the design draft, we need to go through/review the benchmarks.

비즈니스 상황에서는 검토하다, 살펴보다, 훑어보다, 등의 의미로 사용할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

예시

1. 검토하다, 살펴보다 (Review, Check, Examine)

- I need to go through before the meeting.

- Can you go through the freelancer's contract and check for any issue?

- I went through(reviewed) the several competitors and gathered some insight.

2. 어려운 일, 감정적 경험, 힘든 과정을 겪다.(Experience, Suffer through)

- We are going through a tough time in my company.

She went through a lot of pain.

3. 절차/ 단계를 통과하다

- Your application has to go through several approval steps.

4. 끝까지 수행하다, 완료하다.

- I went through all the feedback and made an improvements.

- We need to go through the final testing before launch.

비슷하게 - Go through / Go over / Review

Review는 좀 더 공식적인 느낌

- Do you want to go through the key benchmarks?

- Would you like to review the key benchmarks? (More formal way)

Go over는 처음부터 끝까지 죽 보면서 그 내용을 파악한다. 검토하다. 훑어보다. 확인하다.

그런 의미에서 Go through와 비슷하지만, Go through는 오류 등을 찾아내기 위해 샅샅이 살퍄본다는 느낌을 강조할 때 많이 쓴다고 하네요.

- Shall we go over the key benchmarks?

- Let me go over the ASIS flow.

- Can I go over it one last time?
