해바라기
오늘도 하염없이
어딘가를 바라보며
어딘가를 등지며 살았습니다
하루해는 산산히 햇살이 되어
땅 위로 한 걸음에 내려와
해바라기 안에 들어 앉았습니다
바라볼수록 환해지는 마음 사이로
바라보지 못해 뒤돌아 흩어진 마음들,
그림자로 촘촘히 박혀
오늘도 그렇게 울다 웃다 했습니다

Day 1 - Sunflower
Today again, without a halt,
I lived facing one way,
my back turned to another.
The day’s sun
shattered into light,
fell from the sky
and settled deep inside
a sunflower.
Between the chambers
of a heart that grows brighter
the longer it gazes,
the hearts that scattered,
unable to look,
are pinned there,
dense as shadows.
So once more today
I wavered between
tears and laughter.
