미국 영국 프랑스 독일 이탈리아 캐나다 일본 등 주요 7개국(G7) 비확산 국장그룹들은 이날 G7 외교장관 회의가 열린 이탈리아에서 성명으로 북한과 관련해 “우리는 점증하는 러시아와 북한 간 군사 협력에 대한 엄중한 우려를 재차 강조한다”고 밝혔습니다.
G7 비확산 국장그룹 성명은 “Furthermore, we reiterate our serious concern about the increasing military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, and strongly condemn the DPRK’s export and Russia’s procurement of DPRK’s ballistic missiles and other arms and related material for the use in its war of aggression against Ukraine, which directly violate relevant UNSCRs.”으로 미국의소리(VOA)가 보도했다.

블링컨 미 국무장관은 회담에서 “북한과 이란이 러시아에 무기를 공급하는 주요 국가인 반면, 중국은 러시아 방위 산업의 ‘주요 기여국’"이라며 "중국이 한편으로는 유럽과 다른 나라들과 좋은 관계를 원한다고 주장한다면, 다른 한편으로는 냉전 종식 이후 유럽 안보에 가장 큰 위협이 되는 것을 부추길 수 없다"고 말했다고 로이터가 보도했다.
