MANIFESTO
아트쉬프트는
변화하는 시대에 예술가도 함께
변해야 한다고 믿는다.
예술은 더 이상
보여주고 끝나는 일이 아니다.
사람들은 지금,
소유보다 경험을 원하고
감상보다 공감을 원한다.
작품 하나로 설명되지 않는 마음들,
보이지 않는 연결,
말 대신 감각으로 나누는 대화
예술은 이제
그 틈을 채우는 언어가 되어야 한다.
우리는
감정이 머물 수 있는 구조를 만들고,
작품을 둘러싼 기억과 시간을
사람들과 함께 나누고자 한다.
물질에서 비물질로,
단절에서 순환으로
문화는 이미 방향을 바꾸고 있다.
예술이 삶 안에 머물려면,
그 흐름을 읽고
방식을 제안하는 것이
지금 예술가의 책임이다.
지나간 방식을 반복하지 않는다.
남을 탓하지 않는다.
순환하지 않는 것을 들고
무엇을 할 수 있단 말인가.
예술은
다시 사람에게 돌아가야 한다.
그것이
이 시대 예술가가 서 있어야 할 자리다.

Art x Shift believes that
artists must evolve with the changing times.
Art is no longer just about showing
and being done.
People now want experience over ownership,
empathy over mere appreciation.
Hearts that cannot be explained
by a single work,
invisible connections, conversations shared
through senses instead of words
Art must now become the language
that fills those gaps.
We seek to create structures
where emotions can dwell,
and share with people the memories
and time that surround our works.
From material to immaterial,
from disconnection to circulation
culture is already changing direction.
For art to remain within life,
reading those currents and
proposing new ways is now
the artist's responsibility.
We do not repeat past methods.
We do not blame others.
What can we possibly do
carrying things that do not circulate?
Art must return to people.
That is where
artists of this era should stand.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다.
아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고,
예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
