The Birth of an End
끝이 탄생했다.
죽음을 인지하는 순간,
모든 것은 유한해졌다.
시간은 흐르기 시작했고,
육체와 기억은 사라져 간다.
시간의 흐름 속에서
자아가 인지되고
물질과 물리를 확인한다.
공간이 인지되자
높낮이가 태어나고
모든 것엔 양끝이 있다.
선과 악의 경계가 나뉘고,
고통은 의미를 얻었다.
모든 고통은 죽음에 닿았다.
그리움과 두려움 사이,
어찌할 바를 모르며
지워지지 않으려 몸부림친다.
불안은 지금에 집착하고,
지금은 완벽함을 요구한다.
행복은 쉬지 않고 사라진다.
옳고 그름은
결국 죽음 앞에
용서로 무릎을 꿇는다.
우리는
두려움과 그리움 사이,
온 힘을 다해 흔적을 남긴다.
어쩌면 이 모든 행위는
사라짐 속 조용한
몸부림인지도 모른다.
시간 위에 쌓인 기억은
존재의 무게가 되었고,
짓눌려 무너지더라도
놓고 싶지 않다.
끝의 탄생은
결국 영원을 이해하는
시작이 된다.

Art x Shift
The End Was Born.
The moment death was perceived,
everything became finite.
Time began to flow,
and the body and memory started to fade.
Within the passage of time,
the self was recognized,
and the physical world became real.
With the awareness of space,
height and depth were born,
and everything came to have two ends.
The boundary between good and evil emerged,
and pain gained meaning.
All suffering pointed toward death.
Between longing and fear,
we flail,
desperate not to be erased.
Anxiety clings to the present,
and the present demands perfection.
Happiness disappears without pause.
Right and wrong,
in the face of death,
kneel quietly before forgiveness.
We,
caught between fear and longing,
strive with all our might to leave a trace.
Perhaps every act
is a silent struggle
against vanishing.
Memories layered upon time
became the weight of existence.
And even if we are crushed beneath it,
we do not want to let go.
The birth of the end
is, in the end,
the beginning of understanding eternity.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다.
아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고,
예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
