빈손의 기적
The Offering
빈손인데 네가 주라고 하신다.
나도 먹을 것이 없는데 네가 주라고 하신다.
말이 안 된다고, 어떻게 그렇게 하냐고
속으로 백 번쯤 되묻는다.
아마, 단 한 번도 해본 적이 없어서.
없는데도 내어준 적이 없어서.
그래서 보지 못한 거다.
빈손으로 내밀었을 때
채우시는 하나님의 손을
본 적이 없다.
빈손일 때
내민 적이 없기 때문이다.
내가 채워 내밀거나
빈손일땐 내밀지 못한다.
하지만 기적은
빈손이 아닌,
내밈 안에 있다.
그리고 빈손은
내밀 때 채우신다.

The offering
You tell me to give,
when my hands are empty.
You tell me to give,
when I have nothing to eat myself.
It doesn’t make sense—how can I do that?
I ask myself a hundred times inside.
Maybe it’s because
I’ve never done it even once.
Never given when I had nothing.
That’s why I’ve never seen a miracle.
When I stretched out empty hands,
I never saw God’s hand fill them—
because I never reached out
when they were truly empty.
I only offer what I’ve already filled.
I can’t seem to reach out with nothing.
But miracles aren’t found in what we have—
they’re found in the giving.
And empty hands are filled
when they are offered.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다. 아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고, 예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
