Let go of ego
뭔지도 모르고
그저 좋아서 시작한 미술.
할 말도 없으면서
아무 말이나 담은 작품.
그렇게 내가 시작한 일을 감당하며
진실을 찾아다녔다.
나의 자아는 증명하기 바쁜데,
예술은 연결되고 싶어 했다.
나는 그 길을 막고 있는
'나'를 치워줘야 했다.
예술은 자아를 내려놓고
진짜 자유가 되라 한다.

Art x Shift
Without knowing much,
I simply started art because I liked it.
With nothing to say,
I filled my work with random words.
As I carried on what I began,
I wandered in search of truth.
My ego was busy proving itself,
but art wanted to connect.
I had to remove the 'self'
that was blocking the way.
Art calls us to let go of the ego
and become truly free.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다. 아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고, 예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
