Art doesn’t ask for usefulness.
나에게 예술은
누군가는 웃을지도 모를
말도 안 되는 감정과 진심을
꺼내놓는 일이다.
예술은 쓸모를 묻지 않는다.
그래서 언제나 당당하다.
숨 쉬는 것과
살아있는 것은 다르다.
그 미묘한 차이를
예술은 잊지 않는다.
그리고 존재함 자체로
그 차이를 드러낸다.

things that might seem absurd.
Art doesn’t ask for usefulness.
That’s why it stands tall.
Breathing and
being alive are different.
Art never forgets
that subtle difference.
And simply by existing,
art reveals that difference.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다.
아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고,
예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를
자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는
문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
