New Land

우리는

소속 작가로 활동했다.

이력서를 채우고, 전시에 참여하며

열심히 걸어온 길이었다.

하지만 우리가 하고 싶은 것들은

점점 더 분명해졌고,

결국 우리는

우리만의 길을 가기로 했다.

우리의 갈증은

고정된 틀과 익숙한 경계였다.

그 틀을 벗어나기 위해

우리는 아트쉬프트를 시작했다.

그렇게 우리의 방향은

쉬프팅 되었고,

새로운 길을 향하고 있다.

자유를 향한 변화의 대가는 크다.

보지 못했던 파도가 매일 밀려오지만,

우리는 보지 못한

새로운 땅을 향해

나아가고 있다.

We represented galleries

as affiliated artists.

filling resumes, joining exhibitions,

it was a path we walked diligently.

But

what we wanted to do

became clearer and clearer,

and in the end,

we chose to walk our own path.

Our thirst was for fixed frames

and familiar boundaries.

To break free from them,

we started artxshift.

Our direction shifted, and we are

moving toward a new path.

The price of change

toward freedom is high.

unseen waves

crash on us every day,

But we are heading

toward a new land

that we have never seen before.

아트쉬프트(Art x Shift)

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에

변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다.

아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고,

예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를

자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는

문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.

We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art.

Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
