 I want to tell you about "open innovation". The world eoconomy is changing rapidly. No one can know any about what the world economy will be like. Everything still lies in uncetainties which are growing, For survival, a company should prepare for the follwing: "open innovation". What is open innovation?

A big company is looking for a new growth engine.  In the past, it did it succeessfully within. Lately, big and small companies are starting to cooperate with one another. The two can be connected by accelerators. They're try to find excellent startup companies, and those companies are trying to find something for which they and startup companies can cooperate with one another.

The accelarators' roles are important!.

In order to find excellent startup companies, they have to have excellent capabilitties. They are trying to recruit, incubate, acclerate and invest in startup companies. I've been doing open innovation with the Isu Group for the past two years. What I felt when working together with it is that it is not easy for those who are employed for big companies to jump into doing an in-company venture business. However, while I am running the 2nd in-company ventures, I've found out an extraordinary person. He's lately received the grand prize in an environmental contest. This made me realize that a person matters! At that time, I was selected by looking at people.

In conclusion, I realized that in the digital era, for big companies, "open innovation" is absolutetly necessary! To do that, they have to understand the startup ecosystem as well as a high level of digital literacy. Big companies can get new ideas from startup companies. This is the answer to gaining a new growth engine for themselves!
