To make the Korean economy pick up momentum again, from my viewpoint, the government has to have 'strong startup ecosystem'. Unfortunately, however, the central government and local governments lack experts on the ecosystem. In the digital era, 'creative' AI, Big Data, bolckchain, edtech and platform desperately need mutual cooperation. But, in particular, there is widening gap between Seoul and local communities. Further, they lack sense of direction, experts and policies. The main reason why local people are beginning to disappear is because there are no 'decent jobs'. People of the MZ generation want to enter IT companies and startup unicorns. Yet local communities have no 'unicorns'. The reason for the above-mentioned is precisely because public servants have no expertise. Urgently, they need it. Unless they do that, they have to reply 'verified private sector'. Unluckily, some public servants are 'abusing power' and taking 'high-profile' attitude, though they know nothing. In conclusion, public servants hold the key to the Korean economic growth. Unfortunately, however, they never get ready for 'digital transformation'. 'Outcome principle' is desperately needed. Also, structure reform has to be carried out in the government! Then it could be a strong motivation for public servants!
