Whales, crucial animals to the ocean health

Whales are swimming. Their body is big which makes people shiver by their grand. However, global warming is changing whales by pollution. Their habitat is being destroyed. Whales protect the ocean health by many different ways.

In the first place, whales releasing their waste protects the ocean health. Why is whale important? Whales eat nutrition what phytoplankton eats and comes up and releases its waste. Then, phytoplankton absorbs carbon dioxide which is bad for human. A+PREP daily states, “Phytoplanktons are tiny organisms that live in the ocean. In areas where whale populations are healthy, planktons blooms are much larger. This means more carbon dioxide production. If this continues, whales could be the main characters who defeat global warning.

Next, whales’ death is important the ocean. As whales die, they fall into the deepest part of the ocean. Scientists call this as whale fall. If they touch the ground, they become a food source of marine animals such as anglerfish. According to the other A+PREP daily, “Deep sea creatures rely on whale falls for survival. And the nutrients from whale bodies help maintain biodiversity in these deep, dark parts of the ocean. However, some people say there might be nutrients what harm marine animals’ health. In the whales’ body. Don’t worry. Whales eat food in deep place. In deep places in the ocean, there isn’t any bad nutrients because it is deep. So, whales are even helpful even when they die.

Whales are important to ocean health by releasing their waste, and their death. Whales release their waste with phytoplankton which absorbs carbon dioxide, and as they die, they fall to the deepest part of the ocean, and as they decay they become a food of marine animals. Now, by reading this essay, you should be realized why we should protect whales. Whales are necessary animals for the ocean health.
