Single-Sex Schools’ Advantage
Few years earlier, a new type of school was founded. It was Single-Sex school. Boys and girls were separated into parts and go to schools which is divided by genders. Boys go to boy schools and girls go to girl school. Because of this new trial, it leveled the playing field in education. However, Single-sex schools has a lots of controversy. Some people say it should be banned, while others say it is a good idea. People should not ban single-sex schools because they prevent controversy between boys and girls, and they decrease obstructions.
To begin with, people must not ban single-sex schools must not be banned because they prevent a controversy between boys and girls. Boys and girls often have extremely different studying styles. For example, many girls study prefer to study with beautiful items and calm environment, while many boys like a simpler setup with straightforward tools such as cleanly organized books. Because of these difference, boys and girls could end up arguing about it and fighand fighting if they share the same classroom. A single-sex school serves as a stepping stone for peace between the two genders, allowing teachers to focus on each gender’s learning style. AP Opinion states, “Single sex schools can tailor their teaching methods to these tendencies, potentially boosting student engagement and performance.” As a result, boys and girls in single-sex schools do not have to argue over their preferences and this empowers them to participate more in class.
Most importantly, single-sex schools reduce distractions. In most of the schools, boys and girls could be irritated each other because their gender is different so they think they are rivals. This can lead to fights and arguments, teasing, and stress of teachers. Moreover, when boys and girls study together, they might think about each other during class instead of focusing on lessons. By separating them, single-sex schools help avoid those potential conflicts. Additionally, if boys and girls socialize together, it might reduce their study time. According to AP Opinion, “Girls in female schools feel confident taking STEM classes without judgement from male peers.” However, some people say that single sex schools make students increase gender stereotypes, but they should study and they are divided, so, they do not need to think about each genders. This leads to students’ mental health increase, and focus on studying well.
In conclusion, people should not ban single sex schools because it prevents argument between boys and girls, and reduce their distractions. To sum up, single sex schools prevent an argument on learning style between boys and girls, for example, and reduce distraction with boys and girls playing and try to think about playing because they are divided. Single-sex schools have lots of advantages, so it should not be banned, and it should be a new education style in the world.
