Unleash the Power of AI

Simplify Data Preprocessing with AI!

As an AI enthusiast, I can't help but be amazed by the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence these days.

Since the beginning of this year, I've been using paid AI services, and despite my usual hesitation towards recurring payments, I find myself utilizing them without any regret. More than half of my work is now done in collaboration with AI programs, and the level of efficiency I experience goes beyond simple cooperation. It makes me wonder if learning how to work with AI is the new "smart work" rather than doing tasks directly.

Let me share a simple example of how I've been using AI. Until last year, one of the tasks that consumed a significant portion of my time was data preprocessing in Excel. To conduct a thorough analysis, it's crucial to organize raw data into a usable format. During the preprocessing stage, functions are frequently used, but since they're not always necessary, I often struggled with remembering which function to use or how to apply it correctly, leading to errors. In such cases, I had to spend a considerable amount of time searching for solutions, trying to identify what went wrong, and determining the most suitable function.

However, now I simply ask ChatGPT or Claude.

I can casually write what I need, just like asking a person. Providing an example of the desired result makes it even clearer. In one instance, I needed to merge the text from two columns in a specific format, a simple task that I frequently use but kept encountering errors. So, I directly asked the AI for the appropriate function.

The advantage of AI over humans is not only the minimal waiting time but also its ability to accurately understand the context even when I explain it roughly. When I asked the question, I mistakenly wrote 'Normandie' as '노르망디' in the example result, but the AI understood the context and provided the correct answer.

Creating a new column like "Overseas (France - Normandie)" by connecting the values of the card payment country and city took less than 2 minutes, including the time spent asking the AI. From now on, it seems more practical to learn the know-how of asking AI questions rather than studying Excel functions.

This example is just a tiny and trivial task that AI can handle. I primarily use AI for program planning, optimization, virtual scenario creation, data scrolling, and analysis. In 2-3 years, it might not be impossible to run a small or medium-sized company by deploying multiple AI instances. The cost would only be around $200 per month, and the speed would be incomparably faster than humans.

Of course, life isn't all about efficiency, and I can't guarantee that it will make my life happier. However, having more "time not spent working" could be a prerequisite for a leisurely and high-quality life. After all, happiness comes from sincere interactions with people, relaxation in nature, and the process of being loved and loving others.

Although AI services are open to everyone, I've seen too many people using them like search engines because they don't know how to utilize them effectively. It's like bringing in a Ph.D. graduate and making them take a simple memorization test, only to turn your back on them, saying, "Ah, your memory isn't that great." So, whenever I come across easy and light AI smart work methods, I plan to share them on Facebook along with real-life examples.

When it comes to AI utilization, no one has years of experience. I believe that anyone who starts now can become an AI expert in their field.

It's a matter of whether you'll simply start ahead
or resist until you can no longer avoid it.
