대장장이로 세우시려고?

스가랴 1:7-21

스가랴서는 묵상하기가 쉽지 않습니다.

오늘 아침 찬찬이 읽어보았지만.. 집중이 안되어 슬그머니 다른 할 일들에 밀려나버렸습니다.

기분이 울적하던 차에 독서동아리 과제를 하다 그에 관한 글을 먼저 쓰게 되었습니다. 내 스스로 암묵적으로 세운 ‘우선순위’에서 밀려나게 되었던 겁니다.

다시 성경을 펼쳐놓고는 혹시나 이전에 쓴 묵상의 글이 있을까 하여 이곳저곳을 뒤져보았습니다. 2019년 어느 날의 글, 그때도 역시 다른 일들에 밀려 넋두리하는 내용입니다. 묵상의 글쓰기가 짐이 되어서는 안 된다는..

스가랴서는 소선지서 중에서 메시아에 대한 예언이 가장 많은 책입니다. 구약 전체에서 이사야 다음으로 메시아적 목자-왕에 대한 이야기와 예언이 많이 나옵니다. 신약에서는 70회 이상 스가랴를 직접 인용하거나 암시하는데, 대부분이 계시록에서 발견됩니다.

스가랴는 ‘여호와께서 기억하신다’는 의미입니다. 이것은 포로기 이후 백성들을 향한 하나님의 핵심 메시지이기도 합니다.

스가랴서는 크게 두 부분으로 나뉩니다. 첫 번째 부분을 이루는 1-8장은 ‘메시아의 왕국을 위한 준비’를 다루고, 두 번째 부분을 이루는 9-14장은 ‘메시아의 오심을 통한 이스라엘의 구원과 통치’를 다룹니다.

이상은 내가 찾아본 스가랴서의 개요입니다.

이렇게 과제 해치우듯 성경을 묵상하는 건 나 스스로 은혜가 되지 않습니다만.. 여호와 하나님이 기억하시는 자 되어 선한 말씀, 위로하는 말씀을 악착같이 받아내고자 두 눈을 부릅뜹니다. ㅎㅎ

당시 유다를 흩뜨린 4개 뿔의 환상을 본 스가랴에게 대장장이 이미지를 덧붙여 보여주신 여호와 하나님의 뜻을 헤아려봅니다. 하나님 말씀은 쉽게, 있는 그대로 이해하고 받아들일 때 오히려 은혜가 되기도 합니다.

이 말씀을 읽는 누구라도 이 시대의 대장장이로 삼고 싶으시다면.. 그 손에 적당한 연장도 쥐어주시지 않겠는가!

문득 이런 생각이 스치는 겁니다.^^

자꾸 무력감에 움추러드는 나 자신을 다독여 세워주시는 성령님의 손길을 느낍니다.

억지같이 여겨질지도 모르지만..

대단한 기술자만이 대장장이 타이틀을 다는 건 아니니까~~

주님이 대장장이로 세우시려고 견습하게 하신다면..

철없는 아이처럼 주변 맴돌며 배우겠습니다.

“On the 24th day of Shebat, the 11th month of the year, the Lord gave his message to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berekiah and the grandson of Iddo. This happened in the second year that Darius ruled as king. During the night I had a vision. I saw a man who was sitting on a red horse. The horse was standing among some myrtle trees in a valley. Behind him there were red, brown and white horses. I asked the angel who was talking with me, ‘Please sir, what is the meaning of these horses?’ The angel said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’ Then the man who was standing among the myrtle trees said, ‘The Lord has sent these horses to go and look in all the places on the earth.’ The men on the other horses agreed with the angel of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees. They said, ‘We have gone to look at things all over the earth. We have seen that everywhere is now resting in peace.’ Then the angel of the Lord said, ‘Lord Almighty, how long will you be angry with Jerusalem before you are kind to them? How long will you be angry with the cities of Judah? You have already been angry with them for 70 years.’ The Lord answered the angel who was speaking to me. He spoke kind words to the angel. The angel then spoke to me again. He said, ‘Give this message to the people. Tell them clearly that the Lord Almighty says, “I love Jerusalem and Mount Zion very much. It is my special place. I am very angry with the nations which think that they are safe. I was a little bit angry with my own people, but those nations caused my people to suffer too much.” So this is what the Lord says: “Now I will return to Jerusalem and I will be kind to the people there. I will build my house there again.” That is what the Lord Almighty says. “Builders will measure the land in the city and they will build houses there again.”  Tell the people clearly that the Lord Almighty says, “The towns where my people live will have great riches again. I will cause the people of Zion to live in peace. I will show that I have chosen Jerusalem as my own special city.” ’ Then I looked up and I saw four horns. I asked the angel who was speaking with me, ‘What are these horns?’ The angel replied, ‘These are the powerful enemies that took away the people of Judah, the people of Israel and the people of Jerusalem.’ Then the Lord showed me four workers with hammers. I said, ‘What are these men coming to do?’ The Lord answered, ‘The horns are the enemies that took away Judah's people so that they have become helpless. But the workers have come to frighten the nations that have attacked Judah. The workers will take away the power of those nations.’”
