Spring Break

슬기로운 봄방학 생활

Spring break has finally come.

It’s only been a week, yet

I often find myself bored.

Who cares?

It doesn’t bother me at all.

I broght some work home again,

as I did before the winter break—

and many times before—

hoping to get a few things done,

only to find it gethering dust

in the corner of my desk.

As always, I won’t even touch it,

and when the break is over,

I’ll carry it back to school.

Better to leave work

where it belongs—

lesson never learned.

Instead, I’ve been

running every day—

it’s spring, after all.

Taking photos of the season’s beauty,

cooking my kids’ favourite “dad meals,”

reading poetry and a novel,

and writing—

the kind that soothes the soul.

But the best part?

A lazy afternoon nap,

without a single thought

about sleep at night,

or tomorrow—

a small luxury

I’ll soon have to give up.
